Author's Notes: I love how 20 words on the plot outline turns into 3,500. But this one wasn't originally on the plot outline at all. Which means it'll take me a little longer to get to the end - how nice! But it also took me a little longer to write. Apologies. Bad hands (now better), depression (now beaten), and the full-scale excavation of my room (desk and floor now located) got in the way. And today I will go through and write up replies to all the lovely comments from Ch5, as it is disgraceful that I have not yet done that. Love you all.

Haunted, Chapter 3

Summary: moonlight_spike gave me a plot bunny for a haunted house story involving Billy as the head of a team of paranormal investigators, and though it seems to be mutating slightly, the basic premise is still the same. This is 1920’s AU (with extensive flashbacks to WWI) and will also feature Elijah, Sean, Andy and Bernard, at the very least. Billy restores a book, experiences a haunting and goes to the pub with Andy. The flashback is in italics.
Disclaimers: all that’s written here is fiction, and never took place. Billy's poems are a bit from "In Memoriam" by Lt. Ewart Mackintosh, 4th Seaforth Highlanders, and the first lines of Volume 12 of Paradise Lost by John Milton, who wouldn't approve of anything I'm writing.
