Bad news.

As of 3:17pm Sunday, my laptop is a coaster, taking with it, my ability to post a fic update today.

There are no words to express how upset I am about this, as I've always prided myself on someone who kept my word. I can only offer my sincerest apologies that I am breaking my word today. There is, however, some good news. Or it's what I keep telling myself so I don't burst into tears. Again. The fic is not gone. It's in my gmail account, albeit in an unbetaed sense. So, I can recreate it, once I get a new system, if in fact the old one cannot be repaired.

Please believe me that I will do everything I can to get back online and back posting as soon as possible. Any good thoughts would be appreciated. Once again, I am so sorry.

ETA: 12:50pm - Laptop is at computer store. Hopefully will know if it's repairable in a few hours. Thanks so much to all for your kind words. *hugs you*

I'm just glad for your sake that you didn't lose the fic. There's no worse feeling, really, than something you worked so hard on being gone in an instant. I've been there, and its not something I wish on anyone.

That said, I hope lil lappy makes it through. And whatever happens, I eagerly await more of this fic, however long it may take. :-)

Oh, I'd be even worse if I didn't have a way to rescue the fic. Now it's all about trying to save the hard drive and getting back online asap. Laptop is dead. No chance of saving it. I'm working getting a new system now.
