"MERRY!" a bloodcurdling scream came down the hall from the bedroom.
"What is it?" Merry asked annoyed. He had waited for his yunger cousin to get ready for the party more than an hour yet.
"We can't go to that party!"
"Why?" He was walking to and fro the hall.
"Can't find my scarf!"
Merry closed his eyes, going to explode with fury about Pippin.
"Pip, please! Get your sweet tiny arse out of that bloody bedroom! Without any bloody scarf! 'Cause the one you're searching for is in my hand waiting for you to MOVE YOUR ASS!!"
No sooner Merry said the scarf was in his hand, Pippin was out of the bedroom, arms wrapped tightly round Merrys neck.
"You've got it? I thought I lost it!"
Broadly smirking Merry replied.
"Indeed, you lost it! This noon on our way to the bedroom."

You stand here. Still. Waiting.
Only few people had passed by since you're here. Since this morning.
Clouds gather. The sky darkens. It starts to rain. Soft. Warm.
But you stay here. Waiting.
You wait, because he told you to wait. Wait for him to return.
The rain starts to wet you. Drops fall down. Hair. Forhead. Fingers.
But you stay here.
It's getting darker. Not only heavy rain clouds. Dusk. You're soaked.
But you stay.
Because you love him. You don't want to disappoint him.
He told you to wait. So you wait. Wether or not you're soaked.
You hear the jingling of the keeper's keys. You feel him tip your shoulder.
"Closing time." he says. You nod.
"See you tomorrow man." He wents away. He knows you will leave now.
You lay down the rose you brought. As every day since. lay it down on his grave.
"I'll keep waiting for you, Billy" you whisper.
Then you leave the cementary. But only to come back tomorrow.
And wait.

Hi there! Both of these are excellent (I especially like the first one), but you might want to put a "character death" warning before the LJ cut, just so people kinda know what they're getting into. :-) Your choice of course, just a thought I had.

Love the second one, very poetic and said, but a 'deathfic' warning might have been nice, just so it didn't catch me by surprise.

First One: Hehehe, cute. Reaaal cute. *grinz*

Second One: NOOOO!!!!! *cries* I had to read that over twice to understand he was dead, b/c my first reaction was "Whaaaa?" and then "BUT BUT!!!" ::flails:: That is so sad! But romantic in a way. He'll wait for him, even though he knows he's never coming back. That is just so sad, it hurts and I love that kind of hurt.

Oh wow. The first one: so cute, and the second one contrasted so well.

But I definitely think a 'deathfic' warning might be in order. Some people don't like to read that, and regardless of killing the tension, you could make someone pretty peeved.
