Dom pulled into their small motor lodge and began fishing for his card key. Billy sat in the car. Dom came around and opened his door for him.
“Come on, we’re home!”

Billy started to unbutton his shirt.
“Umm, Bill, I don’t think you, uhhh, we should be doing this.”
Billy was now stepping out of his pants and boxers. “Come on Dommmmie, where’s you sense of ‘venture? Let’s go!” Billy giggled. Billy tiptoed to the pool buck-naked. “Shhhhhhhhh!” He whispered loudly.
“BILLY, no… don’t!” Dom tried to say as quietly as he could.
Billy jumped in the pool. “Shite, Billy… Goddammit, making me go in this bloody…” Dom grumbled as he disrobed.
“OOOOHH Dom! It’s warm!”
“SHHHHHHHhh, Billy, we are not supposed to be in the pool this late, ya arse!”
Dom carefully stepped into the pool wearing only his watch, and wristbands. It felt cold at first, but as his skin adjusted, he quickly felt warm. Dom was concerned for Billy’s safety as well, he was very drunk, much drunker than Dom was.
“Billy… don’t go in the deep end… wait for me.”
“DOM!”
Dom heard splashing and flailing.
“BILLY…” Dom swam for Billy, but he could not see him anymore, he dove under the water and saw him slowly sinking towards the bottom. Thankful for the pool lights, Dom swam under towards Billy, grabbed him under his arms and pulled him up to the surface.
Sputtering and coughing, Billy held onto Dom for dear life, Dom swam him to the shallow end and they sat in the shallows shivering and crying, Dom kissed him all over his face.
“Billy… Billy! You scared the shite out of me! I love you… Billy… What happened?” Dom was babbling, he was scared and his adrenalin was pumping.
“Dommmm, *sob* I love you too, I am sorry! Dom, I love you… I am so sorry, I, I, don’t know what happened…. I swallowed water, I think… *sob* I’m sorry, Dom…” They were both babbling now, talking over each other, and crying. Dom was kissing Billy’s face, holding him tight. Both were only vaguely aware of each other’s stubble scratching across their faces and the cool evening air on their wet shivering bodies.
Billy was still coughing and trying to talk... “Dom, Dom, I am sorry, I love you...“ Billy cried, finally burying his face in the crook of Dom’s neck. His lips touching Dom’s shoulder, kissing his shoulder and neck as he spoke… “I’m so sorry… I love you… Don’t leave me… please, Dom… I’m sorry, I’m not gay, Dom… but, I love you…”
“It’s okay Bills; you don’t have to be gay! I still love you.” Dom said smiling and still kissing him, and Billy letting him.
“Dom? I’m sorry…”
“Stop saying that… let’s get out of here, okay?” Dom slipped his arm around Billy and walked him out of the pool. He grabbed their clothes and walked Billy back to their room. He led Billy to his bed, turned down the covers and helped him lie down.
“Do ya think tomorrow we can go to bed dry, Bills?” Dom said quietly and kissed Billy’s forehead.
Billy was now shivering; he curled into a fetal position on his side in the bed.
“Dom… m’ cold… where are you?” Billy mumbled, his arm waving aimlessly in the air searching for Dom.
“I’m here Bills, right here.” Dom murmured as he sat on the edge of the bed and stroked the hair from Billy’s forehead.
“Come… come lie with meh?” Dom? Could you… please? Mm, so cold.” Billy shivered and took his hand and gently pulled him down.
Dom crawled in with Billy, confused, scared, still a bit drunk himself, and for some reason, aroused as well. He lied down in front of Billy and felt Billy spoon behind him.
