Notes: For zahz87, because she is one reader who has been with me way back since February, and really, that just deserves a bit of thanks. Inspired by - as in, not written for - lotrpschallenge numero uno. Yes, this particular challenge took place in April. No, I did not submit to it, as I was not at that time apart of the community. Indeed, I wrote this over the weekend, and as I was looking for inspiration it occurred to me to check their past challenges. Right, thus.

Billy was fairly certain the entire world had caught on to Dom’s sort of candy fetish. Utterly and uselessly daft had to be the person who didn’t notice the lollipops occasionally resting between his fingers (more often between his lips), brought into the spotlight when Dom was feeling particularly devious.

Billy certainly caught on. He recalls, quite vividly, the morning he first spotted Dom with said incriminating candy: he was on a rock, one leg tucked under his body, looking as though he had something quite serious on his mind.

There was a white stick between Dom’s lips, and Billy could tell, based on the way Dom’s mouth was moving, that he was swirling his tongue around the candy sphere.

“It takes away the taste of the smoke,” Dom said, apparently in an explanation to Billy’s abrupt halt and silence.

“Oh.” Billy took two steps and kissed the strawberry-flavored mouth.
