Help!

I'm seeking a beta to help me with new fics. My darling elmathelas is busy learning how to, you know, save lives and all, and thanks to this frivolous activity, doesn't have spare time for beta'ing anything beyond the ones she's already begun. Is there anyone who'd be willing to lend a hand? I don't need help with spelling, and not much with grammar, as I'm fairly competent in both areas. What I do need is someone to get picky with style, characterization, language, continuity, and...well, believability. Because sometimes I stray. Oh, and you should probably be into teh Monaboyd, since that's mostly what I write.  :D  And as I'm using my beloved slash to try and improve my writing abilities, I'd prefer someone who is a strong writer themselves and won't be afraid to tell me "This bit here? Kinda sucks. Here's an idea to fix it."

Anyone willing to help me out? Please?  ::bats eyelashes becomingly::

Be more than happy to be one of the candidates! : ) I've done some beta work before, I love me the Monaboyd , and I've been told by some that I'm a decent writer. LOL As long as you can handle the commas yourself I'd be more than willing to give her a try. Commas are my mortal enemy- they hate me, I hate them. Other than that, I do alright.

I'm more than happy to offer myself up, too (I have my B.A. in Professional Writing), with the reservation that I might only be able to say, "I love this! SQUEEEE!" And while it would be true, it wouldn't exactly be constructive. (You're one of my very very favorites.)

I'll stick my hand up to volunteer too - though having read your previous stuff, I don't know that you really need it.

Still, always good to get another perspective and I absolutely can't help myself with suggesting other ways you can approach parts of your fic. I'm also quite good with continuity (I read/edit legal and financial docs as part of my job).

Realises that you probably don't need me volunteering, because of the list you have to choose from already, but I'm here if you need me for the odd beta. :-)
