Title: Everything That I Could Find (sequel to Chasing Me)
Author: Mistoffelees
Rating: PG-13 for language
Pairing: Billy/Dom

Disclaimer: It's not true. They belong to their agents, I belong to my Visa bill, if you want to sue me, then get in line.
Summary: When Dominic turns thirty, he finds that he can't stand being in the same place any longer.
A/N: The title is taken from a Korn album, because I couldn't think of anything on my own. I apologize for the endless amounts of fluff. How that happened while listening to Korn may be one of the great questions of our time...
Dom hummed to himself as he finished preparing dinner. Billy was still sleeping, but stir fry heated up nicely in the microwave, so it didn't really matter.
Billy, Dom thought in wonder, Billy is actually here. He came.
Dom had his doubts whether or not Bill would figure it out. Once he'd gotten to New Zealand he'd started to come out of the depression that had gripped him back in the states. After a few days here he'd come across the realization that he wanted Billy to find him. Not anyone but Billy. That was why he'd come here in the first place. Billy knew about the beach he'd been at. He knew what it meant to Dom, but no one else did. Dom had come here hoping for Billy to follow him, without even realizing it.
Well, he'd realized it eventually. After Dom had gotten here, he'd found a fully furnished place near the beach that was miraculously for rent. Thank God for small favors. He hadn't had any clothes or belongings, so he'd gone out and bought a few things to get him through. Every day was spent at the beach that had grown to mean so much to him when they'd been in New Zealand the first time. He never surfed though. He'd simply been waiting. So he sat and wrote, or simply sat and stared out at the sea, every day. Waiting for Billy to find him.
When Billy had come to New Zealand the first time, it had been the day that he'd turned thirty. Dom thought this was somewhat fitting.
He'd had a lot of time to think since he'd arrived here. Had it really been over two weeks ago? That was a bit hard to believe. He hadn't lied to Bills when he'd said that, he really had lost track of the time that he'd been here. While Billy was the one that he'd really wanted to talk to, he really ought to call Elijah and his mum, they must have been worried sick by this point.
Dom grabbed up the phone and dialed in his mothers number first.
----
After the food had been put into the fridge for supper, and his mother and friend had been called, Dom curled up on the couch with his notebook.
He'd been keeping the journal since the first night he was here. It was his way to get his somewhat less then coherent thoughts into some kind of order. He flipped back through the entries now, just glancing at them. Half of them were about the original problem, his birthday. The other half were about the man currently sleeping in his bedroom.
He'd thought he would feel better as soon as the plane had landed here, but he'd been wrong. He hadn't felt better, and he hadn't felt worse. He'd simply been... numb.
Until he'd thought of Billy finding him. Billy would undoubtedly be pissed off. But maybe he'd be sympathetic too. Maybe he'd understand that Dom couldn't simply sit in LA and wait for his life to rearrange itself. Dom had needed to change something, maybe everything. Dom had needed to make his life change when he willed it so, not whenever it felt like doing so on it's own.
"I needed to be in control of my own life." Dom whispered to the empty room.
"You weren't before?" came a quiet, sleepy voice from the hallway.
Dom turned his head to look in Billy's direction, not really surprised that his friend was up and about. Billy had always had trouble sleeping in unfamiliar places at first.
As Billy crossed the room, Dom's eyes raked him up and down. Bill was wearing a pair of pajama bottoms that he'd borrowed from Dom's drawer. That was all Billy was wearing. Dom liked it that way.
Billy sat down on the opposite end of the couch, and for a moment Dom feared that the incident at the beach earlier had made his friend nervous around him. Then Billy laid down with his head resting on Dom's thigh, and Dom breathed a silent sigh of relief. He placed one hand in Billy's unruly hair, messing it up even more.
"No Bills, I wasn't in control in LA." Dom said, belatedly realizing it was his turn to say something.
"Who was?" Billy asked, not even trying to suppress an exhausted yawn.
"My agent, the fans, God? Fuck if I know." Dom shifted slightly so he could lean his head onto the back of the couch, staring up at the ceiling. "I wanted it to be my life again. I wanted to prove that I had some semblance of control, and that I wasn't just wasting everything by waiting forever in that city."
"What were you waiting for Dommie?" Billy reached up and wrapped an arm around Dom's waist, snuggling his face into Dom's t-shirt.
Dom moved his free hand down and rested it against Billy's ribs and looked down at his friend, "Not what Bills, who," he said quietly, "I felt like I was wasting away in that city, waiting for someone to come and make my life make sense. Someone to compliment who I was. Be my better half, for lack of a better cliche."
Billy snorted a snicker into Dom's shirt.
"Hey, don't laugh," Dom said, smiling down at his tired friend, "I'm serious. When I found myself in New Zealand, when I sat down at that beach for the first time in ages, that's when I realized who it was I was waiting for. For so long I've thought it was someone I hadn't met yet. That maybe I'd never find them. But sitting at that beach... It was you Bills, I had already found you, and I was just waiting for you to find me too."
Billy was quiet a moment, and Dom thought that maybe he'd actually fallen asleep, when he rolled over and stared up into his friends eyes. "Oh God, you're a bloody sappy romantic!"
Dom threw his head back and laughed. "Don't make me want to hurt you Bills," he said when he'd finally stopped laughing, "You're allowed to ruin the moment this once, but that's all."
"Who's ruining the moment?" Billy smirked up at him, "You're the one going all sappy on me just because I flew to New Zealand to bash some sense into that thick skull of yours. Here I was, all geared up to be mad at you for the next two lifetimes, and you go and kiss me. That's ruining a perfectly good moment right there. What did you have to go and get all upset about anyhow? You could have just called me and told me rather then running off to the other side of the globe you know."
Dom poked him lightly in the ribs and smiled at him, "Don't you get all high and mighty with me on this Billy Boyd, I know for a fact just how drunk you got on your thirtieth birthday."
"Getting drunk with Orlando, and running from all your friends are two entirely different things," Billy said smartly.
"Bullshit," Dom said, "You can say whatever you like in interviews, I know you were falling down drunk by the time you got off that plane. I hid too, just not in a bottle of wine."
"Now who's getting all high and mighty," Billy grumbled, "You might be right though. Maybe I was hiding from it. Looking back on it now though, it really doesn't seem like it was that big of a deal."
"That's only because you're fast approaching forty." Dom said happily.
"You're lucky I'm too tired to move any of my limbs right now, because that statement could very well be bad for your health Monaghan." Billy squeezed Dom's waist a little too tightly.
Dom laughed again and pushed a bit at Billy, "Come on old man, you should be in bed sleeping off that jet lag."
"Dun wanna move," Billy mumbled, snuggling his face back into Dom's shirt like a child, "Comfortable here."
"Well too bad for you, because I'll get a crick in my neck if I sleep like this. C'mon." And with that, Dom unceremoniously dumped Billy to the floor.
Billy grumbled something rather nasty under his breath as Dom helped him up, but allowed himself to be led down the hall to the bedroom. As Billy fell onto the bed with a sigh, he didn't let go of Dom's hand, making Dom lie down beside him instead. "If I'm sleeping in here then so are you. I hate being in a strange place."
Dom smiled at him, but didn't protest. He stretched out on his side next to his friend and wrapped an arm around Billy's waist, pulling Billy's back flush against his chest. "Fine, but you're not allowed to complain about my snoring later, as this was your idea."
"Thought never even crossed my mind," Billy mumbled into the pillow with a content sigh.
Dom laid his head down on his free arm and smiled happily as he closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep.

I kinda like how this one ended fairly openly, so I decided to post it and be done with it. But that doesn't rule out the possibility that another chapter could pop into my head suddenly

I tend to hide more then I tend to run away, but I have done it before, so the feeling was quite familiar.
I'm glad you liked it!
