He’s tempted to go to the party, but isn’t sure if he actually should. He knows he’ll be there with him. The one that seems to have taken his place. Just knowing that they’re together makes his heart ache more than he thought was possible.

There had been promises of love and how they’d be together forever. He should have known that it wouldn’t last that long. Eventually everything has to come to an end, everything dies. Promises that were once made, that were said so naturally, were believed so easily, would eventually be broken.

So, he sits in his house, all alone, continuing to think. “What had he done wrong?”, “Why weren’t things as they had been before?”, “Could things ever be like that between them again?” And so many other thoughts going through his head, most passing so fast that there’s not even time to try to understand them, while other linger and stand out, leaving more to be wondered after they pass.

He decides to go. And thinks that maybe, just maybe if he’s there he can talk to him face to face about everything, instead of cowering behind words typed onto a screen, never expressing what he truly feels. Never being able to express what he needs to in the words he does say.

He’s there, as he knew he would be. And right there beside him is the one person he never wanted to see along with him. They’re standing there, talking, laughing, giving each other those looks. The kind of looks that used to be shared with him, that he longs to have shared with him once more. He suddenly thinks he should turn and leave, for this is to much for his broken heart to bear. However, he can’t seem to move, those eyes has moved away from the others and are now locked with his. He trys his hardest to look away, but finds himself drawn to the familiar blue/grey hue.

He doesn’t need to turn away, for he already has, and is now focused back on the one that’s with him now. The one who’s somewhat at fault for him having his heart broken in the first place.

He leaves because he just can’t take seeing that sight anymore. It breaks his heart and hurts his head. The same questions coming up that always do. “Where did I go wrong?”, “What could I have done?”, “What can I do to get him back?” But he knows, he may never get him back. He’s back in his home, his own room, wondering why it suddenly feels so cold and lonely there. Wonders what promises he’s made to him, hoping that they’ll be broken just as those there were said to him were.

As he begins to drift off to sleep he wonders if he’ll ever have his Dom back. Because he, Billy, can’t be truly whole again until he’s there beside him, instead of another. Yet, all he can do lately is hope, and wish that’s good enough to bring him what he desperately needs to feel fully alive once more.

What a surprise ending!! Loved it - but so sad for Billy, I think you need to fix that with a follow up...what do you say?
