A/N: The title comes from FoTR, chapter 3. This isn’t a story I intended to write; it’s turned out very differently than I imagined. Oh well. Billy's method of calming down Dom and Elijah and getting them to be friends again this time involved sex and he's standing in the kitchen in clothes he hastily pulled on (the jeans are his but he thinks the t-shirt is Elijah's) staring at the kettle and wondering whether he's just irrevocably fucked things up. And there's a bruise blooming on his neck where Elijah bit him and his body feels used and overheated.
