He sat on the floor against the wall, mesmerized by the sleeping form of his lover. Flawless skin was bathed in the ethereal glow of moonlight seeping through the window. He wanted to run his hands over every square inch and feel the soft heartbeat under his fingers. He smiled to himself, thinking of a song that a friend sang frequently. “I see you sleeping now, invincible and golden.” Yes, that’s exactly how William looked right now. He stood, walked to the bed and curled himself around the warm body that he loved. He feathered a kiss on William’s temple before whispering, “So this is where I long to be, from now until eternity.”
