so, after much clamoring, especially by people who have seen hmcgirl's icons, i have posted the pics i took at con of dom and billy. and only a month late!

teh billeh:



the infamous tattoo picture. right on his ankle. didn't even notice it until hmcgirl pointed it out. squee!



billy and david wenham (or the backs of their heads) at the new line booth. i wasn't part of the huge mass of people getting autographs, as i was in line for dom. so i had to circle around and pretend that i wasn't hovering. sucked.



i like this one. right after i took it, he glanced at me and was all, "hey" and i was like, "hey." and it was funny.

unfortunately, i didn't get that many good pics of dom, as i was always not close enough until i was right up there, and i didn't want to be all, "hey, i'm going to waste a whole roll of film on you because YOU'RE FUCKING DOM MONAGHAN AND GORGEOUS OMG!!!1!!!"

so, that's about it. all the other dom pics have people in the way or are taken too far away.

but all in all, quite a nice event.

Well, I gots to post on behalf of my bitch, el cool_like_dom.

We're not really quite as fangirlish as you may think. However, we're the type of people who will say ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING if it's funny. This includes going on and on about our supposed exploits with twelve year old asian boys, and how we'd like to wear strap ons and pound the hobbits in the you know where... Of course we wouldn't REALLY do that, but damn, man, it's sure funny to talk about. Hence the comment about the chick being a "H0R." It's funny, right? Well, that's why she said it. Not cause she believes it with her entire being, or something.

As for the tattoo pic, I assure you, cool_like_dom didn't notice the tattoo when she first put the pic online, and neither did I. Really, you should give her credit for posting it for everyone to see for free, because she easily probably could have sold it to a tabloid sort of organization, and some people would have done that. But she won't, because she's not that kind of a chick.

I think, honestly, the "Fellowship" probably isn't gonna go apeshit if someone accidentally took a blurry picture of part of the tattoo. I think they are probably mostly just adverse to showing it off to people.

It's funny in general. The humor isn't in saying Evangeline is a bad person, but in saying anyone who's there who's not you is a bad person. It's funny because it's silly and complete nonsense. You know, irony?

I shouldn't have to argue semantics here. I'm sure Evangeline, being a very lovely, apparently talented and intelligent girl, doesn't get all that many people disliking her. Life's easier if you look like that, and don't ever let anyone tell you different.

That said, I sincerely doubt that her entire world will come shattering down, and that her opinion of herself will wither and die, simply because one fan of Dom made an amusing, if somewhat mean, joke about her in passing.

I seriously believe, if you showed the comment to Evangeline, she'd have the maturity to giggle at how silly it is, and brush it off. It might not make her feel good, but I don't think she'd give it another thought even an hour later. I think she'd realize the joke would have been made no matter WHO was sitting next to Dom, as long as it was still a female.

I really do see your point, how it's offensive. But I also think it's pretty apparent, especially now, that the joke wasn't meant to infer in any way that Evangeline is some miserable human being.

I, personally, am done talking about this. I think a big deal is being made out of something that isn't very important, simply because it was never meant to take a stab at Evangeline personally. That's my final word on the subject.
