Summary: Written for the White Flag Challenge. Completely un-betad and written during a break at work tonight. I tried to do mostly dialogue... don't know how well it worked though.


"Billy?"

*long suffering sigh* "What, Dom?"

"You don't really have to go.... do you?"

"Yes, Dom. I really have to go. We talked about this remember?"

*nod*

"But you'll be back, right?"

Silence.

"You are coming back right?" *slightly panicked*

Silence... again.

"Billy?" *full-on panic mode*

"No Dom, I'm not. Goodbye."

"But I..." *pause* "I love you."

"I know Dom." *click*

Dom sat there and stared at the phone. Any minute now Billy would be calling to tell him it was all a joke... a wind-up. Dom just knew he would. So, he sat and waited.

Three days later Elijah finally convinced him to stop waiting for what would never come. But he absolutely refused to stop loving Billy.
