Title: into the air
author:

Rating: Like, PG.
Summary: Billy doesn't know why he agreed to this.
Notes: Second RPS fic, a small monaboyd drabble that I wrote in-between calls at work for
sheselectric without her knowledge. :D Am not entirely sure who was and wasn't willing during these bungee-jumping sessions in NZ, so depending on information, this might be AU. 540 words.
Disclaimer: Trust me, if I owned them, I wouldn't be writing about it.
Feedback: rocks my world.
Billy didn't like it when Dom made fun of him. Of course he was allowed to be a little hesitant, he was standing a million bloody kilometers in the air on a tiny little bridge, with Dom expecting Billy to hurl himself off it. At the rate things were going, Billy was about to hurl something off, but it wasn't going to be himself.
He suddenly regretted the four vodka shots from last night.
And he wished Dom would stop smirking like that, his mouth crinkled up at the corners, the light turning his eyes to...
'what was I thinking about again?' Billy thought distractedly, turning his attention to the lady who was tightening yet another strap around his waist. 'Oh. Right. How Dom is about to kill me," Billy glanced over at Dom, who stuck his tongue out at Bill.
'Bastard.'
"Right then," the lady at his feet stood up, patting his shoulder. "All done!"
"Right," Billy repeated, his heart in his throat.
"Just hop on over this way and we'll strap the two of you together."
Somehow Billy's knees, which were trembling violently, managed to carry him over next to Dom, whose expression was far too smug about the girl's face being nearly in his crotch for Billy's liking. She seemed to notice this too, as the last strap she tightened hard enough to make Dom stumble backward, Billy stretching his arm out quickly to steady him.
"Thanks," Dom said, smirking.
"Yeah," Billy said shortly.
Both boys were silent as the two girls strapped them together and attached the bungee cord to their feet, Billy wondering if it was possible to run away with Dom strapped to his ass, Dom wondering why Billy looked like he wanted to take off running. As the last strap was secured, Billy looked down for the first time.
Bad mistake.
"Just go ahead when you're ready, and remember what we taught you," one of the girls winked at Dom and the two backed up, leaving the boys alone.
"You know, green isn't a bad colour for you, but not in that tint," Dom's voice was soft and his breath tickled Billy's cheek.
"You didn't have to agree to this, you know," he said a moment later, when Billy didn't reply.
"Yes I did," Billy responded, eyes fixed on the impressive view at his feet.
"Why?" Dom was frowning a little.
"Because I can't say no to you," was Billy's answer, knowing it was true and feeling a bit bitter about it.
Dom's mouth curved into a smile, and his lips brushed against Billy's cheek as he leaned in close.
"Here, Bills. Hold my hand," Billy felt Dom's fingers slip around his, and couldn't help but exhale a small breath of relief as his hand gripped Dom's.
"Ready?" Dom asked, bouncing a bit on the balls of his toes.
"No," Billy replied. "But let's get this over with," the two stepped towards the edge, "just don't let go, okay?" his voice trembled slightly but his face was set.
"Never," Dom whispered, grinning. Billy closed his eyes and nodded, and Dom, grinning wryly, made sure their fingers were securely locked before jumping, pulling the two of them over the edge and into the air.
