Best. Fic. Ever.

Nono, seriously.

First, some constructive:
Elijah felt a touch overdone. This is probably just how I personally envision him: not that tactless. But certainly that's a personal taste more than an actual flaw.
The break-up with Ali seemed ... sudden? I know it was mentioned time and again but in the middle of Dom's trip it felt forced? Although! I -do- very much like how this brought home the awkwardness of ending a relationship, especially one that developed and how the friends could deal with it and how it can really sort of upset an entire way of life ... if the story were not revolving around Billy/Dom I would have loved to see Ali's side of that and how she reconstructed her world afterwards; very glad you brought her back cheerful and happy at the end.

Now, the hero worship section:
This was incredibly well written.
It did not feel cliched, despite the well-worn paths it travelled. I couldn't help but smile when one of the characters (Dom, I think) even considered various options which tasted particularly like some of the other fics floating around ...
Characters felt true and stayed true.
Ali had a heart and a soul.

And it had -closure-. Not a trite, yay, here's your happy ending pastede on ... but an honest-to-goodness everything's had time to fall into place and now it fits -just- -right-.
And the awkward -- so true.

Beautiful.

Okay. Done now. Swear.
