Title: Please
Author: [livejournal.com profile] aralinde/[livejournal.com profile] weeyotch (two sides, same coin)
Rating: PG
Pairing: BB/DM
Summary: I won't pretend to understand, because I don't.
Disclaimer: I do not own these people (because they own themselves, as all people do), and this is 100% fiction. As in NOT-REAL.
Notes: For [livejournal.com profile] hikethekilt, because what she needs right now is some Billy and Dom in lurve.
Note the second: 162 words, written for a three minutes and thirty-three seconds challenge (and yes, that was so my challenge).

No more kisses. Don’t kiss me anymore like you mean it. It’s the same kiss that you give to everyone, anyone—and I’m tired of being part of a group. I don’t feel your lips when they barely touch me; the almost smile that I seem to be missing. Just—don’t. Please.

Don’t take my hand in yours as if there’s a secret we’re meant to be sharing. Some special communication that passes from your fingers to mine. I won’t pretend to understand, because I don’t—I used to know what you were thinking, but then you went so far away, so soon—places I can’t follow. No more laced fingers, slight squeezes. Please.

And Billy stumbles over these words and phrases, forcing them past numb lips. And Dom just stares, the smile all but gone.

Takes a step forward, right into Billy’s space. Takes Billy’s face in one hand, grabs Billy’s hand with the other. Kisses him slowly, and whispers, “Please.”

Seriously. You wrote this in three minutes?

So very lovely. Poignant.

It made tears come to my eyes for a moment, there. And I love -- just love -- when that happens.

Thank you! *hugs*

The Fic:

Ouch. It's amazing how so few words can convey so much *feeling*. Again: Ouch. ;) My favorite line was: "And Dom just stares, the smile all but gone." I don't know if you meant for it to be, but that line is powerful. Got me right here. *Points to heart*

Now...

The Icon:

Where in the world did you get that Pansy picture for your icon? The second I saw it, I squealed with delight. Love me some Pansy. ;D I'm embarrassed to admit that it sent me on an hour-long search for the "official" Pansy picture. *Smacks forehead* Now, I would really appreciate it if you could tell me if that's a real picture or if it's a manip. If that's really Emma Watson with Pansy-hair, then I blame the fact that it's after three o' clock in the morning and the lights aren't all on upstairs in my brain for my stupidity.

Again: Lovely Fic. Lovely Icon. :D

No, it isn't rushed, at all. Well, not for a ficlet, anyway. ;D

Oh, thank you so much for that link! That picture!
