Part One, Part Two.
Dom was patting Billy's wounds with the soggy cotton wool when Billy put his hand over Dom's. He stopped what he was doing at looked at Billy.
"What?"
Billy was smiling at him, and didn't quite understand what came over him. He felt as if Dom was worth that one mistake so many weeks ago. He felt as if he shouldn't forget what happened. He squeezed Dom's hand and turned his head ever-so slightly to kiss a finger.
Dom frowned with confusion, not really knowing what was going on with Billy. Perhaps he was still drunk, and must have knocked his head when he fell. Dom shook off Billy's hand and carried on cleaning the cut on Billy's eyebrow.
Billy sighed. "Dom, why are you acting like nothing's happened?" He reached out to Dom again but Dom moved away.
"What are you talking about, Billy? Nothing has happened. Or not to my knowledge anyway." Dom was almost shouting, but he didn't have a clue what Billy was talking about, and he felt as if he was the one in the wrong. He wasn't the one who was avoiding him. It was Billy.
Billy got to his feet, but wobbled a bit due to the severe alcohol consumption earlier that night. "You, Dom. You and me. Remember? A month ago or so. We got really drunk...?" Billy was waiting for some recollection from Dom. But nothing came. Dom had completely forgotten the whole thing, and now was looking at Billy with a mixed reaction of utter frustration and anger.
"What the hell am I supposed to have done, Billy? Why are you being like this?"
Billy walked up close to Dom, so close that their noses were almost touching. "You and me, Dom. We slept together. Don't you remember?" Billy suddenly kissed Dom hard on the mouth. His hands pulled Dom close against him as he tried to move them both towards the sofa. Dom had no option but to fall back onto it. As they both fell, Dom hit his head on the back of the sofa, and out of the blue, memories came flooding back to him. Memories of him and Billy, naked, sweaty, rolling around on his bed. Memories of the bite marks. Memories of the clawing hands and the weight of Billy on top of him. His eyes flew open and he pushed Billy off him.
Billy fell onto the other end of the sofa. "Do you remember, Dom?"
Dom felt himself feel extremely hot and claustrophobic. "I need some air." He got up to leave, but Billy stopped him. "Billy, just let me go. I'll be back later."
Billy watched Dom leave, slamming the door in a rush to get away from him. His thoughts were so conflicting. One minute he felt embarrassed about what happened that night. Then the next minute, he realised that he wanted Dom; that he's always wanted Dom. But now his actions have taken over, he has scared him off. And now, he's completely ruined the friendship that they once had. Billy buried his head in his hands and tried to deal with how he could try to fix the mess he'd gotten himself into.
He looked at the clock, and decided that Dom would expect him to be gone when he came back, so he stood up, gathered his jacket and found a piece of paper to scrawl on.
'Dear Dom, I'm sorry that I've left you (again) but I think you need some time away from me. I've completely ruined everything, and I don't deserve you. I'm sorry. Billy.'
He put the letter under the TV remote and headed for the door. He walked down the corridor, down the stairs, through the other corridor and into the open air. It was cold and had just started to rain. He bunched his collar around his neck to keep out the draught and walked towards the centre of town.

Dom came out of the shop and looked up into the sky. It had just started to rain. 'Oh well,' he thought, 'at least these flowers will get a drink.' He looked at the bunch of carnations. He knew it was such a corny gesture, but everyone knows that flowers are always meant to woo people. He arranged them nicely as he walked up to his apartment. He stood outside his door for a few seconds and braced himself. He knew he had fled from Billy like a little kid, but he did say that he'd be back. He smelt the flowers for one last time and opened the door. He walked into a dark and very empty room.
"Billy?" There was no answer. He saw the letter under the remote. He picked it up and read it.
I don't deserve you.
Dom's heart leapt and he head for the door, still clutching the carnations. He ran down the stairs and out into the night. It was raining heavily now, but he didn't care. He needed to find Billy. He looked both ways down the street. The left way had more lights, the right way headed towards a roundabout. He decided to take a chance on the left way.
He ran down the road, thinking about all the things that had happened up until now. That night. The awkward moment at his apartment with Elijah and Billy. The bar. The kiss. Oh, that kiss. He couldn't clear his mind of the passion that he felt in that once kiss. He ran and ran until he got to the town centre. He looked around in the street frantically, but he couldn't see Billy. He looked in the windows of a few bars, but he still couldn't see Billy. He reached for his mobile and called Billy's phone. 'Damn, switched off.' He kept on running, further into the town, where it was much busier and there were more people. He ran past the new bar that they were in earlier and stopped. He took a chance to see if Billy was in there. He walked in, and was pulled over by a red-faced Elijah, now shirtless and covered in lipstick.
"'Lij, have you seen Billy come in here?" Dom so wished for the answer to be yes, but with Elijah's state being extremely intoxicated, he would have been surprised if he even knew who Billy was.
"Nah, sorry man." Dom closed his eyes with desperation and sighed. He rubbed his forehead and falsely smiled at a leggy blonde who was trying to work her magic on him. "Although," Elijah continued, "I saw him about three minutes ago walking into there." Dom followed Elijah's pointed finger and saw a little cafe. He kept his eyes on the cafe, and immediately left Elijah to his 'fans', and walked across the street into the cafe.
