Summary: Billy and Dom realize at the same time they are in love
“Elijah! Stop pushing me!” Billy was becoming quite irritated with Elijah’s persistence that they get to the bar on time. “Orli and Dom are probably late as well.”
Elijah giggled as he put his hand on Billy’s back again to hurry him along the street on their way to the bar.
Billy stopped and turned to Elijah, “Stop it! What are you up to? Something is going on?”
Elijah shook his head and said, “No, no, I’m just, um, thirsty.” Giggle.
Billy eyed him with suspicion wandering what his young friend had in store for him. This whole night was beginning to look like something that his three friends had cooked up. As they walked, Billy tried to remember any jokes or comments he had made that deserved payback. He could think of none.
Billy really was looking forward to spending time with Elijah, Dom and Orli. It had been awhile since they all got together. Since filming had stopped things had become strained. Especially between him and Dom. For some reason Billy was having a hard time not seeing Dom everyday.
Once again, Elijah placed his hand on Billy’s back, “Come Bills. You don’t want to be late.” Giggle.

Orli and Dom sat at a table at the bar awaiting Elijah and Billy. Orli glanced around at the people entering the bar. He shifted in his seat so many times Dom was beginning to wonder if Orli didn’t need to take a piss.
Dom looked at Orli with some annoyance. Orli had insisted they go out to a bar and do some singing. Singing! Dom flatly refused; he wanted to get together with him and Elijah and Billy, but no singing. The four of them had not been able to get together for so long, he wanted them to catch up. Especially him and Billy. He missed Billy. A lot. More than he felt comfortable with in fact.
But Orli gave him a story about there being some girl there that he wanted to impress, and he felt more comfortable with his closest friends there for morale support. Morale Support! Dom had told Orli that for an actor he sucked at lying. But he relented and came along. He figured Orli singing would be good for a laugh, and if he struck out with the girl, well that would be twice as funny!

Billy and Elijah walked into the bar and Orli nearly knocked the table over when he jumped to get their attention.
“Fuck, Orli, it’s just Lij and Bill!”
Dom and Billy exchanged looks, then shook hands. Elijah looked at Dom and said, “You’re shaking hands now? Screw that! Give me a hug!” He pulled Dom close and embraced him tightly like he always did. The four men laughed and all exchanged hugs, even Billy and Dom.
As Billy pulled away from Dom’s embrace Dom looked over at Orli. Orli just looked at him and smiled. There was something behind that smile that made Dom nervous.
Orli and Elijah exchanged smiles and both giggled. Billy had just about had enough. “What is going on?”
He looked over at Dom and asked, “What have you all cooked up?” Dom glared at him and retorted, “Why are you asking me? I’m just as confused with tonight’s agenda as you. I mean Orli wants to sing for some girl?”
Elijah and Billy both looked at Orli quizzically.
Orli looked at Elijah and shrugged, “It was all I could think of.”
Elijah laughed and shook his head. Billy was about to ask more questions when the stage lights flickered and the stage lit up. The DJ took the mic announcing it was time for Karaoke. Billy wondered if Orli was indeed going to sing.
The DJ asked the crowd who was first. At the same time Elijah and Orli raised their hands and started hooting. “Over here, yeah right here.”
Dom had been looking at the stage, so when he turned, fully expecting to see Orli getting up to go sing, he was surprised that Elijah and Orli were pointing to him.
“What? No, I’m not. Damn, Orli there is no girl is there? Fuck, I am not doing..”
He was cut off as the DJ grabbed his arm and pulled him to the stage. Orli and Elijah were clapping wildly cheering him on. Even Billy was smiling. Billy was relieved it was not him that Elijah and Orli had plotted against. Little did he know.
Dom looked at the DJ and said, “I don’t even have a song picked out.”
The DJ smiled and replied, “I believe your two friends took care of that already.”
He pointed to the small TV prompt in front of the mic. Dom looked at it and saw the first few lyrics. He smiled thinking at least it was a good song and not one of those embarrassing ones Orli and Elijah picked for each other. Plus he knew all the words by heart. He wondered why the big set up. This was a sexy song, were they trying to get him laid? He could go for that. He shrugged his shoulders and walked up to the mic and grabbed the stand with both hands as the music started.

Dom had closed his eyes and his hips were rolling with the music. His lips were hovering over the mic; something that did not escape Billy attention.

As Dom opened his eyes the only person he could see was Billy. He didn’t do this consciously, it just worked out that way. He looked at Billy wandering if he approved of his voice.

Billy leaned forward listening to Dom and watching him move to the music. He felt his heart race. He had always had thoughts of Dom that one does not have about your best mate, but to actually see Dom move his hips like that while singing those words and looking into his eyes made Billy quiver.

The comfort of knowing Billy had always been there for him. The knowledge of Billy’s unconditional love. Dom opened his eyes and looked into Billy’s.
