Title: Equivocation (2/?)
Author:
thailainthesky
Pairing: Billy/Dom
Rating: G
Summary: Billy feels something more.
Disclaimer: This is all very not true. So don’t believe it.
Author's Note: Part I. This part is rather short, but I felt like I had to write something, damn it. A bit sucky but eh... that's me. :-D
Dom woke up with a thumping hangover. And to add to that, he remembered what happened the night before. Standing there, completely naked, in front of Billy. He shook his head at the thought and got changed into a scruffy t-shirt and jeans. He emerged from his room cautiously and looked around to find Billy. No sign. He sighed gently in relief and marched towards the kitchen when he heard the door of the spare room creak open.
Billy peered out of the crack of the door. He could only see a small section of the living room, but what he could see was no sign of Dom. He assumed that Dom was still asleep after his drunken night out and he quietly tip-toed out of his room into the living room.
Suddenly, Billy saw Dom stood there, waiting for the awkward tension between them. Billy smiled and nodded towards Dom's jeans. "Decided to wear something this time, then?"
Dom flushed and a muffled laugh came from his throat as he turned quickly and put the kettle on. "Tea?" His voice was agitated from nervousness.
"Yeah, sure." Billy sat on the sofa and flicked the television on. It was children's television shows. And the news. And cookery shows. He rolled his eyes and switched off the television. He got up and leant against the kitchen doorframe, watching Dom. He smiled as he watched Dom make the tea. He imagined waking up every morning to the sight of Dom making tea and breakfast for him. He smiled again, and his thoughts trailed off at the sound of Dom's voice.
"And what are you smiling at?"
Billy shifted his weight and cleared his throat. "Uh, nothing. Just need my tea." Billy frowned at the foolish words that came into his head first. 'Just need my tea?' thought Billy, 'sure, you don't sound stupid now.'
Dom passed Billy his tea, picked up his own cup, and went to sit down on the sofa.
"There's nothing decent on TV," Billy declared, "just a load of news or kids TV."
"Man, I love kids TV!" exclaimed Dom, and he flicked on the television and watched in amusement. Billy stared at Dom. He always found it funny the way Dom seemed enthusiastic about everything, even children's programmes. He watched Dom's wide eyes sparkle as he watched the screen, his legs tucked up underneath him. Billy loved to watch Dom. But something was different today. He didn't just find Dom hilariously funny as he usually did, but it was something else. A new feeling that he hadn't counted on feeling. Sort of an admiration, but a little more. The weird thing was, he liked it.
