Hello everybody! Have been hanging around this wonderful community for a while now, reading all the great fics about lovely Billy and Dom and finally I've written something small.

Title: Never
Author: [livejournal.com profile] alyeen1
Pairing: Monaboyd

Words: 536
Disclaimer: I don't know Billy or Dom (sadly), so this is just based on my fantasy, not on any kind of facts.
Note: It's my first (tiny) story in this fandom, so please bear with me. Also English isn't my first language, but wonderful [livejournal.com profile] kms726 has helped me a lot. And big thanks to to [livejournal.com profile] lemmesay for reminding me that Billy & Dom belong together :-)

Billy looked from his teapot to the window. It should have been a good morning. The sun was shining, it was Sunday and he had no appointments or family-issues whatsoever. But he felt neither relaxed nor comfortable. Something was ... off.

From the corner of his eye he watched Dom stirring his tea, lost in thought. Not that Dom was really talkative right after waking up at such 'a ghastly hour' as he liked to call it, not that they needed to talk at all.

Billy could very well enjoy any silent moment shared with his friend. But normally those moments felt cosy, with Dom exhausted, resting his head on his shoulder 'for a second' and promptly falling asleep, his warm breath sweeping over his chest.

But now something was brewing in his friend's mind, he could tell by Dom's chin just being a hard edge, not a smooth, round smile as it seemed to be most of the time when Dom was around him.

Billy wished his friend would just let go whatever was troubling his mind so they could go boating as they've planned.

But of course that wouldn't happen.

As if he had guessed Billy's path of thought, Dom looked up, two dark blue dots meeting his gaze.

"I love you."

Billy frowned over the severe voice with which these warm words were spoken. He had heard those words from Dom before and he had said them as well, but they had been soft words, spoken by a friend to another. He had thought so at least. Or believed it to be so ...

"I love you too", he finally answered after a pause which seems to last an eternity, trying to hold out against Dom's piercing gaze. He had hoped to sound casual as all the times before - amicable if anything - but his high voice betrayed him with distinctive quivers.

A smile appeared on Dom's face, a sad smile. Slowly he shook his head. "No, you don't."

Billy stiffened a bit more. This was not a conversation he'd had with Dom before, but he had a feeling that he already knew the outcome. "Why not?"

Dom got up, standing there for a second, his ring on his finger tapping against the table. His chin seemed to be even more clenched. "Because you never thought about doing this."

He stepped to Billy and grabbed his face in both hands. Dom's lips pressed against his. Smooth lips, blending into his perfectly as if they were made for kissing him. Stubbles scratched his skin. Dom's stubbles, making him tingling.

A tongue prodded carefully but all more eagerly against his mouth and he could do nothing else than let it in. His heart beat faster, as the tender tip moved around his tongue, searchingly. Desperately. His mouth passionately kissed the comfort he had missed before it spread out in him. He had never been kissed like that before. It felt wonderful.

And then just like that, Dom let go, leaving him wanting more. While Dom's hint of smile showed satisfaction his dark eyes spoke of pain.

"You never did. And I can't think of anything else", he repeated whisperingly, sitting down again. Lost in his thoughts.
