Summary: Relishing in privacy after a public appearance.
Feedback: Would be greatly appreciated as it's my drug of choice.

The ride back to the hotel in the limousine is quiet, but not uncomfortable, both men enjoying the silence after the frenzy of the movie premiere, with the blinding flash of cameras and wall of screaming fans. The support and adoration is appreciated, but as the end of the promotional tour nears the end, it's definitely taken its toll.
Dom can't help but be reminded of when they were on the seemingly endless promotional circuit for Rings, all those years ago. A lifetime ago.
"Thanks for coming," Dom says softly, his head rolling to one side on the smooth upholstery of the limousine, smiling when Billy laces their fingers together. "I'm glad you're here."
"Me, too."
"What did you think?"
"You were lovely," Billy replies, calloused fingertips sliding repeatedly over Dom's knuckles. "Liked the idea of you being able to generate and control electricity like that. Inextricably entwined. It suits you, how you light up from inside."
Dom smiles. "I thought so, too."
"Didn't much care for the part when it was taken away," Billy admits, a frown creasing his brow. "When Bradley-"
"Yeah," Dom agrees after Billy trails off, unable or unwilling to speak the words aloud.
"Don't like to think of you in the dark."
Dom doesn't resist when Billy releases his hand, and eagerly shifts closer, settling into the welcoming circle of his lover's arms, head tucked under Billy's chin. He hums in contentment when a kiss is pressed to his hair, and lets his eyes close.
"It’s just a movie, Bills. It’s not real. "
"I know." Billy sighs heavily. "I meant-"
"What?"
"Reminded me of Mexico. Don't like to think about it; a world without you in my life."
"That was a long time ago, Bills. I'm not going anywhere," Dom promises, tightening his arms around the older man. "Except back to the hotel and into bed with you. It's been weeks since we've had a night together."
"You know what I mean."
Sitting up, Dom draws Billy into a soft, lazy kiss. "I do," he replies when they part. “You found me in the dark, and I’m never going back there.”
"Guess there's only one way to solve this problem," Billy tells him, one eyebrow arched mischievously. "Make sure that you make it to the closing credits of films you make."
"How?"
"You make them with me," Billy announces with a flourish. "We were in three incredible films in a row, and look how well everything turned out. We made it through, and got ourselves a happy ending, on-screen and off. What do you think?"
Dom laughs, eyes sparkling with joy. "Deal."

As difficult as it's been to finish this series, I'm going to miss it, too. It was fun to create it. 2 letters to go.

I think I've read so many Monaboyd fics all over the internet that I am totally lost in it. But I'm sure I haven't read this one of yours, because it's AU.
It's a shame I don't read AU, because you're pretty talented writer;).

I'm finally finally trying to catch up on this series!
Mmmmmmmmm such a lovely piece with them together having one of their 'private moments' together.
Whenever I think of Dom and when he mentions about his 'depressing time' in LA...he said that he was lonely...and it breaks my heart to think that maybe he was dangerously missing Billy...which I know that was a major part of his loneliness, because he had the other guys there and still he was depressed. But then Billy showed up and dragged Dom down to Mexico with him and made sure that Dom would never let him go through this life alone...not after all that they had and yet to experience together. That must had been such an emotional time for both of them... (OMG now I'm getting teary-eyed)
*Give me a minute...okay back.
In Wolverine my heart broke a bit to see Bradley die as well...but I knew Dom would survive to live another day and do another movie...hopefully soon with Billy.
With all of the time Dom and Billy are spending together recently - I hope they find a producer soon who will do their movie. I wonder if all of the Monaboyd fans of the world put up the money for the making of their movie their will be: a) an actual movie
b) and a lot of people taking extended vacations (because if I can be on set and watch them work together in person - who wants to work?) LOL!
