Title: Winning Over Billy 3/?
Author: Robin Gurl
Part: 3
Pairing: BB/DM (I guess in this case it's more of DM/BB)
Rating: PG-13 (NC-17 by end)
Beta: Glamoursnipe
Overall Summary: Dom's never had any problems winning over the opposite sex (or anyone really), but it looks like he met his match with Billy Boyd.
Chapter Summary: Dom confronts Billy about his suspicions, secrets are out in the open and dinner hasn't even arrived yet.
Notes: Next chapter I am hoping to be in Billy's POV. If it doesn't work out, I will try again with the next chapter. Either way, he will get at least ONE chapter. :P Um. I'm very nervous about this chapter because it was the first I ever heard of Billy's childhood. The whole thing about his parents and all. I have implied that his sister is older, whether or not that is true I can't find out (and I'm ok with that). Please let me know how I did. When I write Hurt/Comfort with these two they start turning into Merry and Pippin. D: PLEASE tell me if I did that.
Feedback: About content, yes. If it's grammar please email me at robingurl@gmail.com.
Disclaimer: This never happened...well I mean it could have but..I doubt it. O.o

*~*

"Only one bed?" I said, dropping my bags in the doorway of our room. Billy pushed underneath my arm only to pull the same face I was. He tripped over my bags trying to enter the room then looked at me.

"It won't be so bad. We just keep our hands to ourselves."

I raised my eyebrows then shrugged in response. "If I kick you at night you can't blame me."

"I'll just kick you back harder. Which side you want then?" He asked from the restroom.

"Doesn't matter."

"I'll take the left, if that's alright."

"Sure thing." I sat down on the bed testing it's strength then looked for Billy. He had sat one of his suit cases up on the bed, already and unzipped it. I watched him pull out a picture frame of a girl who looked a little older than him, pretty eyes and smile. "Is that your girlfriend? She's cute."

"Actually, she's my older sister."

Oh, that's right. I needed to ask him about his home life. I knew I was being nosy but it's the kind of guy I am. I like to know things so I don't hurt people later with comments.I stood up and walked over to the door, taking the 'do not disturb' sign off the handle and putting it on the outside, then closing the door again.

Billy gave me a questioning glance, "Sorry, Monaghan, I don't do sex on the first date, I mean, we haven't even had dinner yet."

I knew he was joking but I didn't want to laugh right now. I wanted to know why he'd gone stiff on me when I mentioned his parents. "About earlier," I started.

"What about earlier? Is it the sleeping on your shoulder? I'm sorry, I got a wee bit sleepy and dozed off. I didn't mean to land on your shoulder." He said a bit too defensively.

"No, before that," I replied softly.

"My family business is none of your concern." He said curtly, catching me off guard. He stood up and pushed past me, leaving the room with the cliché slam of the door. I had screwed up somewhere.

Wherever he'd hidden himself, I couldn't find him for the rest of the afternoon. Part of me felt horrible for even bringing it up but the other part of me argued that it was good information to know. I finally gave up looking for him and went back to our hotel room. When I re-entered I saw he still hadn't returned and I felt even worse.

My big mouth had gotten me in trouble again. After a few moments of sulking I decided to make what time I had to myself useful and sat on the edge of the bed picking up the phone receiver. I began dialing a few numbers until I had finished my home number. I put the receiver to my ear and waited. "'lo. Yes, I'm here. Everything is great. No, I wasn't alone." I started sighing and leaning against the headboard. "I met someone - no, it's not a girl. His name is Billy. Yeh, he plays Pippin, my character's best friend. Tell dad I called, for me? I'll call back later with more details, I hope." I looked over to my side and saw the picture of Billy's sister staring at me. I picked it up and held it in my hands. "Um, mum, what do you do if you think someone is hurting but you can't fix it, even if you caused it by accident?"

My question caught her off-guard, but she spent the next hour and a half lecturing and giving me advice. "I know, it wasn't intentional. Thank you for the ideas. Yes, of course! I love you, too. Bye." I hung up and settled the phone back down on the table, then put the picture frame back. I laid back into the pillows and groaned with frustration, hitting myself in the face with one of the pillows over and over again.

In mid self-abuse, I heard the door open and moved the pillow just above my eyes. Billy was back. He stood at the door and gave me a blank stare. I sat up with the pillow still in my hands. "Look, I'm so sorry if I said anything wrong."

He walked silently over to his side of the bed and sat beside me. I took a deep breath, hoping I hadn't ruined our friendship forever. Filming had just begun and I had already caused a major problem.

"Your home life," He began, laying back in the pillows.

"Yeh?"

"Is it nice?"

"I like to think it is…I mean, I have a family who loves me." I was unsure of what response he wanted. We were silent for a few moments and I finally blurted out what I had been thinking the entire morning. "Were you abused as a child?"

He froze and turned on his side, giving me the strangest look. Then he took my hand into his this time and squeezed it. "Dom, I wasn't abused, neglected or anything like that." Not even realizing I'd let out a sigh of relief, I laid my head down on his shoulder. "I had a pretty good life up until I was twelve."

I sat up slightly and noticed his eyes were that strange green color again. I squeezed his hand reassuringly. "You don't have to tell me if it's to painful."

"I need to. Dom, my parents passed away when I was twelve. My sister and I got moved in with my grandmother."

"Oh," I stumbled over my next words, feeling even more upset that I had opened that wound again. "I'm so sorry."

"Don't be, it happened a long time ago." He pulled his hand away and sat up. "I usually don't tell anyone because then I get the sympathy vote and it gets in the way of things. Suddenly everyone is too afraid to talk about or even call their folks in front of me." He twisted and looked me in eye. "But I felt like I could trust you not to make a big deal out of it."

"Well, I already called my mum." I said, smiling nervously. "And unless you really want me to bore you about my home life, I won't go into it."

"Fair enough." We both laid back in the pillows and were silent before Billy picked up the pillow I had been holding over my head when he walked in. "Do you always abuse yourself with pillows?"

"Only when I make a fool out of myself." I replied. "I'm not trying to pry, but where did you disappear to after you stalked out? I looked everywhere for you and had to give up."

"I have my ways of disappearing," He started. "I called Margret, my sister, and let her know everything was ok. She says hi, by the way, and said that if I kick you at night you have permission to kick me back."

"I thought I was the one who was going to physically abuse you first tonight?"

"Seems Maggie thought differently."

"Either she knows you very well or she just has no confidence in my reflexes." I muttered, getting a chuckle from Billy.

I love your dialogue.

This is precious:

"If I kick you at night you can't blame me."

"I'll just kick you back harder.

That would be fine but I don't want to step on your other beta's toes so maybe if she could just email me letting me know it's okay...

Ok, I've just finished all 3 chaps; and I find this very interesting fic and I can see big potencial in it! ^_^ Can't wait for the next one (hope it will be soon)! I like the way you made them meet and the way you describe Dom's thoughts:). I can imagine whole story in his POV, so if you don't feel like writing it in Billy's, don't put pressure on yourself:).
Oh, and please, just don't let Elijah behave so childish next time. I'm 18 and it makes me feel stupid :D.

And sorry if this comment doesn't make sense. I love your writing<3.
