Title: Earth [1/7? in my Element series]
Rating: G [so unlike me!]
Pairing: Implied Dom/Billy, Dom/Evi
Summary: Dom has a love/hate relationship with the earth.
Disclaimers: 'Tis a drabble of sorts. I have no idea if this is real. It's not that uncommon, so it might be. Either way, I made it up :)
Feedback is always appreciated.

--Earth--
The sand always calmed Dom, whether it was cold and wet, or hot and dry. It was a natural exfoliant for the body and soul. He loved to run his hands through it, watching each grain sparkle in the sunlight as it faltered slowly to the ground. A smile would erupt upon his lips and a small chuckle would escape from them. He was happy.
Sometimes, when he wasn't near a beach, he'd lay on any patch of grass [preferably shaded] and just close his eyes, listening to each sound that he could focus on. He'd sigh, letting the wind gently blow the blades of grass to where they would make a subtle, yet soothing melody against his body. It was at this time that he became lonely and unable to focus on the sounds anymore.
When Evi was around and they'd had a few too many beers to drink, they would laugh and start climbing any tree they could find on the island. Whether it was in someone's front yard or in the middle of a park, they would climb it. On occasion, they'd have contests to see who could climb the highest. Evi always won because Dom would get sidetracked, spotting a spider or a caterpillar in the moonlight. Most of the time, they were either some shade of green or shone green in the moonlight. A frown would crease his lips and he would begin the descent down the tree until he was firmly standing, focusing on the non-green moon above.
It was the last day of spring break when Dom realized how much he loved the earth. Loved the sand as he squashed it between his toes...loved the way the wind rushed through the park, letting the leaves and grass begin their symphony of the forest...loved the way each tree grew and grew, brighter and taller with each passing moment. It was the last day he would look into those eyes and see the green that matched the earth so perfectly, so well because the next day, Billy would be on that plane, with no goodbye other than a smile and a stare as he began the steady walk through the gate.
