Title: Day
Author:
dylan_dufresne
Pairing: BB/DM
Rating: PG-14, maybe.
Summary: A warm, quiet piece that came to me.
Feedback: Would be greatly appreciated as it’s my drug of choice.
Disclaimer: Not at all true in reality. This is my imagination at work.
A/N: I wrote this drabble-ish thing months ago, and *just* found it in a notebook. Oops. My bad.
Day
The worst day, Dom thinks silently as he practically drags him up the narrow walk to the front door of his cozy beach house, his limbs unusually heavy. This has been the worst day. Sighing heavily and making his way inside, Dom kicks off his well-loved trainers and reaches for the ceiling as he attempts to loosen the tense, sore muscles in his back. Several vertebrae crack satisfactorily, a muffled groan slipping past Dom’s lips as he rolls his shoulders forwards and then backwards.
Wandering into the kitchen in search of comfort food, he is at the fridge, peering inside with pursed lips and trying to decide between last night’s takeaway Thai or even older leftover Chinese when a pair of arms slide around his narrow waist. Before Dom can say a word, Billy’s cherubic lips are slowly trailing up the smooth nape of his neck, placing tender kisses to the tantalizing, golden flesh. Burying his small nose in the fine strands of Dom’s tousled hair, Billy draws in a deep breath, and sighs with contentment as his fingers slide across his lover’s taut belly, gently caressing.
Dom’s not even aware that he’s moved, and then their mouths are meeting in warm, passionate kisses, limbs tightening around one another, seeking closer contact. Within minutes, they are skin to skin, stretched out on cool, crisp sheets, sheer cutains drawn and glass doors partially open, the evening tide rolling up the beach a short distance away. The rhythm of the waves guide their movements as two become one, eyes locked, fingers laced together, and hearts beating in unison.
Later, while watching the sun sink beneath the horizon, Dom marvels to himself how it has become a perfect, wonderful day. He realizes that he’s spoken aloud when Billy readily agrees, cuddles him closer, and then brings their mouths back together.
