I was reminded of these by [livejournal.com profile] lord_alexander's recent story (and return!), which was based on a James' lyric, and mentioned the desire to change the object of one's affection into what you want. I don't recall seeing these done before; my apologies if they have been.

Suggestion One: A Monaboyd story based on the classic myth of Pygmalion, the beautiful young sculptor who is unmoved by the numerous young maidens who fall hopelessly in love with him, who is punished by falling in love with his own sculpture. In the original, the sculpture is of a woman, but, of course, that can be changed. *G* Could go either way, but I see Dom as the sculptor and Billy as the creation.

Suggestion Two: And, on a kinkier note, the (probably best-known) song by James, "Laid". I think the lyrics are self-explanatory. *G* I think of obsessive/kinky/Dom/sub Monaboyd every time I hear this... Lyrics are behind the cut.

"Laid"

This bed is on fire
With passionate love
The neighbours complain
About the noises above
But she only comes
When she's on top... ooooohhh....

My therapist said
Not to see you no more
She said you're like a disease
Without any cure
She said I'm so obsessed
That I'm becoming a bore, oh noooo
Ah, you think you're so pretty

Caught your hand inside the till
Slammed your fingers in the door
Fought with kitchen knives and skewers
Dressed me up in women's clothes
Messed around with gender roles
Dye my eyes and call me pretty

Moved out of the house,
So you moved next door
I locked you out,
You cut a hole in the wall
I found you sleeping next to me,
I thought I was alone
You're driving me crazy,
When are you coming home... Oooohhhhh....
