Disclaimer: Bits of it have happened to me, but otherwise all lies.
A/N: Shopping is no fun, but snuggling up with the one you love is. Written to fulfill my need for warm, domestic winter fic. Fluffy in the extreme.

Dom heard the front door slam shut and burrowed further back into the couch. He flicked the tv from Grandstand to the X-factor catch up and back again.

"I bloody well hate Christmas," came the muffled shout from the hallway before the living room door was rather roughly flung open.
"No you don't," he said without taking his eyes from screen. A warm paper bag landed on his chest. He glanced at it with a frown.

"They were out of corned beef pasties, so I got you sausage rolls instead."
"Thanks," Dom told Billy's retreating back. "Can you put the kettle on?"
"Do it yourself," Billy called out as he mounted the stairs, laden down with bags. "You should be doing for me after the day I've had."
Dom rolled off the settee, brushing the crumbs from his jumper onto the floor, and meandered into the kitchen.

Five minutes later he pushed open the spare bedroom door with his foot, a hot mug of tea in either hand. "Why do you hide everything in here?" he asked setting one of the mugs down next to Billy on the floor. "The only person we know who would search for their present is me. And you leave that one at Maggie's."
Billy shrugged and mumbled something, engrossed as he was in his wrapping. Dom watched him contentedly as he drank his tea.

"You're wet." Dom set his cup on the floor and stroked a hand over Billy's hair. "Is it raining?"
Billy shook his head. "Snowing."
"Snow?" Dom asked excitedly and leaned back on the bed to tug the net curtain up. "How did I not know it was snowing?"
"Because you've got all the curtains drawn and you haven't moved from the settee since 'Dick and Dom'. You're still in your pyjamas for God's sake."
"I put a jumper on," Dom protested, pulling the sleeves of said jumper down over his hands and them flapping them at Billy.
"The Monaghan Guide to Sartorial Elegance," Billy murmured with a sly smile. "Come here and give me your finger."
"I'm always willing to give you the finger." Dom knelt next to Billy and presented his index fingers. "Which one would you like?"
Billy grabbed the nearest one, (the left one as it happened), and placed it against the neat fold in the paper. "Stay."

"Why don't you get changed into something comfy and dry, while I make some fresh tea?" Dom asked once the wrapping was complete.
"Sounds good." Billy yawned and stretched as he stood. Dom watched with a smile, rubbing gently up Billy's leg and then patted his backside, urging him towards their bedroom.
"Go."

Billy waited until Dom had returned to his place on the settee and then stretched out on top of him. His fingers curled into the soft warmth of Dom's jumper as he shivered slightly. Dom wrapped his arms around his lover and pressed a kiss to the top of his head.

"Feeling better?"
"Mmmm hmmm."
"I'll come with you next time."
"No you won't," Billy murmured firmly. "Remember last year?"
Dom nodded and shuddered slightly. "You should shop online."
"Impersonal."
"Less hassle."
"People appreciate the hassle."
"Elijah isn't going to care where that cd comes from as long as he gets it."
"Can we argue about this later?" Billy snuggled further into him, resting his head against Dom's shoulder.
"We're not arguing. We're having a discussion."
"Later though."
"Ok."

They settled into silence, Dom's hand stroking rhythmically over Billy's back.

"Do we have to watch this crap?"
"I thought you were asleep."
"'s the X Factor Dom. I'm not fourteen."
"It's funny. And Sharon..."
"Put it on One."
Dom hid a smile in Billy's hair and changed the channel obediently. "Going to take me dancing my love?"
"Going to wear a dress?"
"If you ask nicely."
Billy smiled sleepily and pressed a kiss against Dom's neck.

The room was in darkness save for the Christmas tree lights twinkling in one corner.

Billy stirred against Dom's chest and hummed in contentment as he drifted slowly from sleep. He watched the lights, enjoying the warm glow that spread across the room.

"Time is it?" Dom whispered and Billy tilted his head back so he could look at his love instead.
"Don't know."
"K." Dom's eyes closed again and his arms tightened around Billy.
"I love Christmas."
"I do too."
