This challenge isn't exclusive to Lotrips, but I thought some of you might be interested:

The Suspension of Disbelief Challenge is underway: it's multi-fandom and anyone can play.


You've read them before. Nearly every story incorporates at least one of them. These are the plot devices that make up everything ever written. So, what's the point in using them again? Because here is your chance to turn it all on its head. We will issue you a plot device, something that has been used too many times to be anything other than boring. Your job will be to take this cliché and make it interesting. If it's the same Fog-Covered Cemetery that has been used in every horror story, make your fic a love story set amongst the romantic smog. If it's the Head in the Duffel Bag that has been used in so many murder mysteries, make it a central speaking character. Here is your chance to take something old and worn-down and make it new again.
