Feedback: Would be greatly appreciated, as it is my drug of choice.

A/N: Just a little fic that came to me. Very light and fluffy. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] frojane for the beta.

Letting his jacket slide off his shoulders as he closes the door behind him, Billy hurries into the kitchen and over to the phone, hoping that Dom has called, but the red light stubbornly refuses to blink. Sighing, Billy tosses his jacket over the back of a chair and makes his way down the hall to his bedroom.

Looking over at his computer, Billy decides to check his email, just in case. When his Inbox finally loads, he smiles. There it is. A message from Dom.

Glancing at the time stamp at the top of the page, Billy frowns in concern. Why the Hell is Dom sending email at half three in the morning? Scrolling down to the body of the message, Billy sits back to read.

I wrote your name on a piece of paper, but by accident I threw it away.
I wrote your name on my hand in black Sharpie, but somehow it washed away.
I wrote your name in the Hawaiian sand, but the waves whispered it away.
I wrote your name in my heart, and forever it will stay.

Calculating what time it is in Hawaii, Billy picks up the phone, and dials.

Fumbling around the bed for the phone without opening his eyes, Dom finally wraps his fingers around the desired object and presses it to his ear.

“Hello?” he rasps, voice gravely with disuse.

“Hello my love.”

Warmth rushing through his long, bare limbs and settling in his belly, Dom smiles sleepily.

“Bills,” he murmurs lovingly. “Hi baby.”

“I got your message.”

“Good.” Cracking open one eye and stifling a yawn, Dom looks at the clock on the nightstand. “Bills, I’m on night shoots. Do you know what time it is here?”

“Yeah, I do. I just wanted to tell you something,” Billy says softly.

“What’s that?”

“I love you, too.”

It takes Dom a moment to realize that the soothing Scottish lilt isn’t coming from the phone, but from within the room. Bolting upright in bed, coverlet puddling at his waist, Dom looks over that the doorway. Smiling gently, Billy ends the call on his mobile, and before Dom can manage to form words, Billy is stripping off his shirt and trousers and crawling into the bed next to him.

“Bills,” Dom whispers, fingers sliding over Billy’s scruffy cheeks. “What- How-”

“I wanted to tell you in person,” Billy says simply before cupping Dom’s cheek and bringing their lips together in a soft kiss. When they part, Billy slides his thumbs tenderly over the dark smudges beneath his lover’s eyes. “You look so tired, Dommie. You’re working yourself too hard.”

“Long days of shooting,” Dom offers as explanation.

Settling down into the pillows, Billy cuddles Dom in his arms. “Get some sleep, love. We’ll talk later.”

Rubbing his cheek against Billy’s chest, Dom wraps his arms around his lover and snuggles into his body, closing his eyes.

“This is a first for us,” he comments, tilting his head back and pressing a feathery kiss to Billy’s neck. “Too tired to shag.”

Billy laughs softly. “Later, Dommie.”

“I’m going to hold you to that,” Dom warns playfully.

“I would hope so,” Billy replies, kissing Dom’s hair. “Now go to sleep.”

Obediently, Dom settles down, and in a matter of minutes, both men are fast asleep.

It’s the sensation of something pressing against his skin and a sharp smell that awakens Billy from a peaceful sleep. Opening his eyes, Billy looks down to see Dom carefully writing something on Billy’s chest in black Sharpie.

“What the-”

“Shhh. Almost done.”

Nudging Dom’s hand out of the way, Billy laughs lightly at what his lover has written.

Dom

“You wrote-”

“I wrote my name on your heart,” Dom interrupts quietly, tanned cheeks pinking.

“Dommie,” Billy murmurs, brings their mouths together for a long, sweet kiss. “You silly daftie. Your name was written on my heart years ago, as well as other parts of my anatomy that you’re rather fond of.”

“Aw, Bills.”

“Now, do you want to play with that Sharpie, or me?” Billy asks, eyes smoldering, dark with arousal.

Dom straddling his hips and bringing their hardening erections together is all the answer he needs.

* * * * *

Slapping at the alarm clock on the nightstand until it stops beeping, Dom groans and curls back into Billy’s strong arms, nose nuzzling into his neck.

“You can’t go back to sleep, Dommie.”

“Five more minutes,” Dom begs. “Or I can just call in sick.”

“Love, you need to go to work,” Billy replies with a smile.

Dom sighs heavily. “I know.”

“I’ll come with you,” Billy says, fingers rubbing at the small of Dom’s slender back. “Keep you company.”

“Yeah?” Dom asks hopefully.

“Of course, love.”

“Good.”

“We should get washed up,” Billy adds, nudging Dom’s chin up so their lips can meet. “Don’t want to be late.”

“Okay,” Dom replies, kicking back the sheets and reluctantly climbing out of bed.

Dom hasn’t walked ten steps when Billy bursts out laughing.

“Dom!”

“What?”

Rolling out of bed and closing the distance between them, Billy holds Dom at his hips so he can look at Dom’s back. In a crooked, awkward scrawl, a word has been written in black Sharpie across the smooth, round cheeks of Dom’s arse.

Billy

“What is this?” Billy asks, tracing the black ink letters.

“What?” Dom replies, looking over his shoulder to meet Billy’s eyes. “You said it yourself, Bills. Your name was written on my heart years ago, as well as other parts of my anatomy that you’re rather fond of.”

Gently turning Dom around, Billy cuddles him close, gazing deep into Dom’s eyes. “But what’s written on our hearts will never wash away.”

Dom grins and kisses Billy's cheek wetly. “Couldn’t have said it better myself.”

Awww, this is sweet, honey. I love it for the comical elements, and for this: “I wrote my name on your heart”, of course :) *snuggles*

This was very cute! Although, Billy never said that his name was written on Dom, but the other way around... not that it matters, it's still lovely!

yeah, figured that was probably it, and even if it had been a mistake or typo, it doesn't matter because the fic is lovely on the whole anyway.. just thought you know, if it was unintentional, you might want to know.. or something!

I really like this line. Now maybe I'm just over thinking it (which is very possible). But I like all that is said between the lines. And Dom is such a romantic... with the poem... *happy sigh*

I liked how you twisted the ol' Billy surprising Dom in Hawaii story. And I don't know if I need to say that the sharpie cuteness broke me to bits!

*grumbles @ third comment* some people....
