Title:The Shiny Box
Author:

Rating: So totally G omg
Pairing: Billy/Dom ....obviously
A/N: Okay this is a bunny that bit me hard and omg it made me squee from the absolute adorableNess of it. This is an AU obviously and I make no money or anything off of it or anything like that, ignore the man behind the curtain. I do not apologise for the 100% fluff that this is. Also, no disrespect was meant towards any person's real or fake involved in this story or anything like that. Some fourth graders might have been hurt during the writing of this, but that was
dizzydame's fault.
I apologise for all mistakes contained herein. For

It was the first day of school. First day ever of first form and Dom was so very excited. He had his new clothes, picked out this morning by himself not by his mum because he was a Big Boy now and could do these things all on his own now, his new shoes and bestest of all-- he had his brand new shiny red box full to the brim with new crayola's. That was bestest of all. Because when Matt went to first form a couple years earlier he had an old dingy box of half used crayola's that weren't sharp at all, but Dom!-- Dom had brand new crayola's that itched to be used and drawn.
And Dominic was so very very excited about school!
It was his first day of school in a new town, his family has just moved back from Germany and Dom was very very nervous, but very very excited.
And so that morning Dom had packed Matthew's old pack with his homemade lunch and his bright red shinning box of crayon's and with a big squishy kiss from his mum (to which Dominic protested quite loudly, especially when she spit on a rag to wipe off the lipstick), Dominic was merrily walking on his way to school.
The walk there had Dominic thinking of all the new people he would meet and all the brand new things he would learn and do and it made Dominic so excited that he couldn't help but jumpleapskipdance his way to school.
Unfortunately for Dom, a group of infinitely cooler fourth graders were loitering outside the school and snickered at Dominic's youthful exuberance at learning and so when Dominic entered his classroom it was with considerably lower spirits then when he had set out earlier that morning.
And so it was that Dominic walked through the big red door of his classroom, clutching his pack tightly to his chest (and no doubt squishing the sandwhich his mum had made for him earlier that morning) as all the children suddenly got quiet, curious as to see who had interrupted their sanctity of colouring.
Dominic quietly shuffled his way to the teachers desk, all the while knowing that every child's eyes was pinned on him, and handed her a note that his mum had told him to give to the teacher. As the teacher quietly read the note to herself, Dominic let his eyes wander over all the other children in the classroom. All of them already looked like they had best friends, already paired off into two's and colouring together. And everyone else had one newer, shinier clothes than the hand-me-down's Dominic was wearing-- well everyone except the one small kid in the corner by himself. Dominic tried to see if he could catch the boy's eye but the teacher quickly bundled him up in a huge hug before he could.
"Everyone! Everyone! May I have your attention please!" The teacher's voice sounded warm and kind and it didn't take long before the rest of the class had quieted back down and had turned to stare at Dominic and the teacher.
"Everyone, this is our new student Dominic. He has come all the way from Germany to learn with us here, isn't that great?" Dominic smiled widely and waved, hoping that he had been wrong about the other students and that they would all smile and wave back at him.
"How come his ears are so funny?" Dominic quickly dropped his hand and blushed profusely, his eyes dropping as all the other students giggled at the one big kid's comment.
"Now Andrew that's not nice.." The teacher admonished Andrew and bent down to smile at Dominic. "Why don't you go take a seat over there, hm?" Dominic nodded and quickly shuffled off to where she had pointed.
All the other kid's looked at him and giggled as he walked by, Dominic just sighed as he climbed into his seat next to the small quiet boy that hadn't laughed at his ears.
Dominic pulled his shiny red box of crayon's out of his bag and set them down on his desk right next to a name tag that had been taped on the desk which said DOMINIC in all capital letters.
The small boy next to him looked up at him quickly before looking back down at his drawing and then back up again. "Hi." He said shyly at Dominic, a small smile growing on his face.
"Hi." Dominic replied as he quickly smiled back at the other boy.
"I don't think your ears look funny." The other boy said quietly before he went back to adding a couple red apples to his tree. Dominic's smile grew huge.
The other boy looked back up. "My name's Billy... I just moved here a couple months as well." Billy looked proud of himself and held out his hand.
"I'm Dominic I just moved here too." Dominic giggled at that because duh!, wasn't that what the teacher just said? And Billy giggled too and Dominic decided he liked Billy's giggle it was funny.
Dominic reached out and grabbed Billy's hand and shook it but didn't let go.
"Wanna be my best friend?" Dominic asked.
"Okay." Billy replied and Dominic thought that maybe first grade wouldn't be so bad.

I'm glad you liked it, I love the image of them as little kid's and even though I felt slightly perverted because I'd go read like Epiphany and then work some more on this... yeah. *giggles*
Glad you liked it.

A while back I had started a Billy/Dom AU with them as kids but had sort of abandoned it. Perhaps this will inspire me to finish it because OMG they are so cute as kids!!!
Very nice work. A+ and a big shiny red box of crayons for you. :-D
