Summary: Three drabble thingy. I was thinking about comfort food at work and this was born.
Feedback: Would be very much appreciated. I would really like to hear what you think
Disclaimer:None of this is real, well, Dom might like mashed potato, but other than that I made it all up and I'm not making any money from it.
Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] indigo_blind for the drive by betaing :)

Mashed potato makes Dom think of his mum. Of Sunday lunches and the whole family around the table, of the smell of cooking drifting through the house hours before the food was ready making everyone hungry. Of helping his mum in the kitchen, - getting in the way really, his mum singing along with her Joni Mitchell LPs. When he hears the opening bars of Both Sides Now he swears he can smell chicken roasting and hear vegetables simmering gently. Mashed potato was comfort food. It made Dom feel safe and cosy.

Coffee with cream makes Dom think of Hetty. Of being young and inexperienced. Of having not quite grown from a boy to a man.
He and Patricia would chat between takes over a coffee about the changes she had seen in her time as an actress, and how he would like to progress with his craft. She liked her coffee sweet with lots of cream, which she’d sip sighing with pleasure.
Coffee with cream made Dom feel young and bright. Scared by the world around him but excited by his presence in it.

Cinnamon makes Dom think of Billy. Because Billy hates it. Hates it with a venom Dom never sees Billy show towards anything else. He took a bite of Dom’s cinnamon roll by mistake once and was incandescent with horror.

"I can’t believe you let me put that in my mouth, Dom!"

To which Dom could only raise his eyebrows, making Billy blush an adorable pink.

Cinnamon makes Dom think of Billy flushed and passionate. Which made him think of Billy breathless and yearning. Of him trembling, responding, demanding. Cinnamon makes Dom feel warm with anticipation. Hot like friction and lust.
