Feedback: Would be loved more than porn and chocolates on a cold and lonely Saturday night.
Author's Notes: Goddamn, I love you all! Thanks for all the feedback you guys have been giving! It's great! I'm so glad to see you love this fic, coz this fic has taken such a long time to plan. Anyway, here's chapter 4, where Dom almost comes to terms with just how much Nic is like Billy. :D Chapters 1, 2, and 3 are down the page...to the left side of your screen is something called a scroll bar...you know the drill...

CHAPTER 4
Dom followed through with his promise, and was at the Boyd residence's front door first thing in the morning.
"Dad's still asleep," Nic said as he let Dom in, "Do you want me to wake him up?"
"No, it's fine, let him sleep," Dom answered with a bit of a smile. He could hardly help remembering the times when he would force Billy right up and out of slumber. How many times had he ended up in the closet?
When he turned, he found he was talking to no one. Nic was still at the door, peeking out at Dom's car. "What are you looking for?" Dom asked, titling his head.
Nic snapped around. "Huh?" he asked, "Oh ,uh, I'm not looking for anyone-er, anything, I meant anything."
Dom raised an eyebrow at him. "you're looking for Estelle, aren't you?" he asked knowingly. In the morning light, Dom distinctly saw his godson blush. "Kinda," Nic answered, and then he held his hands up in denial, "But not for the reasons you think."
Dom gave a snort. "Whatever you say, Dominic," he said, and moved on into the now clean living rom. he was surprised to find a Playstation2 turned on, a paused game of "Return of The King" running. "Who's playing on the PS2?" he asked almost all too excitedly.
"Me," Nic answered as he joined Dom in the living room, "It's pretty ancient, the console," ("What's that supposed to mean, sunny jim?!" Dom exclaimed,) "But the graphics are awesome." "This game is 20 years old, are you fucking me?!" Dom said as he took a seat on the sofa and grabbed the controller. Nic seemed to have reacted, but Dom's focus was on the game he was now playing, so h wasn't sure.
Nic took a seat beside Dom. "You know how to play that?" he asked, almost like a little child fantasizing about being a soldier who'd just met a war veteran. "Do I know how to play this?" Dom asked with sarcastic incredulity, "Was that a trick question, Niccy?" And so he got halfway through the Paths of The Dead as Legolas unscathed.
"You're pretty good at that, old man," Nic teased, inching closer to Dom as if to get a better view of the game. "Well," Dom snorted, "Watch and learn, little boy." And he finished the Paths of The Dead with a mission rating of "Excellent" and enough Experience Points to last him a lifetime. He then proceeded to take on the King Of The Dead, and he brought that ugly ass down swiftly.
Nic looked at him with the shining eyes of a little boy watching his dad expertly catching a huge bass on their first early morning fishing trip.
"You've got to show me how you do that," he said to Dom, who did nothing to suppress the smug smile now creeping across his face. "It takes a master to play this game effectively," Dom answered. He turned then to Nic-
-And suddenly found his lips crushed dramatically against the youth's.
Dom pushed back just a little bit. The boy was a lot like his father, this he already knew, but he had not anticipated just how much. "Nic, are you drunk?" he asked, though he knew the youth was not.
Nic turned away. "I'm sorry," he said, and the look on his face reminded Dom (for what was probably the nth millionth time in his entire life) of the resemblance between father and son, "I shouldn't have done that."
Dom considered the youth for a while, looking at him as if seeing him for the first time. The disheveled brown hair...the look of uncertainty mixed with want in confused green eyes...the slightly parted lips...the uneven breathing...Yup, this was exactly how Billy had been that fateful first night, almost 20 years ago. Dom had taken Billy into his embrace then, had reassured him that everything was going to be okay, that nothing else mattered now, and then he had kissed him, softly, sincerely, and Billy had let him, even returned it.
This was just how it had been back then, but there was something missing from this moment that was there then.
This didn't feel right.
"You're too young," Dom murmured, more as a reminder to himself than to Nic, "This isn't for you. Not yet."
Dom was spared from explaining by th sound of a door opening upstairs.
Billy was up and awake.

A/N: So...who balked when Nic kissed Dom?! HEHEHEHEH...when my friend read this, she totally gasped out loud...it was so great...well...review and tell me if the story's getting worse in a good way or in a bad way, aight?
