“They sank,” Dom said sadly, his voice betraying his emotions.

“What sank?” Billy asked as he shuffled into the kitchen. “Ah, I see. Well, I...I wouldn’t worry. It’s only Lij coming over.”

“But...but everything must be perfect. It’s a housewarming party.” Dom pouted.

Billy sighed and leaned against the counter. He hated when Dom pouted. It made his heart break and gave him the urge to wrap the man into his arms. “Dommie, it’s Lij. He’d eat the batter if you offered it to him.”

Dom looked up at Billy. “Still,” he muttered. “They sank.”

Billy gave in and wrapped his arms around Dom. “It’s ok, love. It doesn’t matter. Lij won’t care.” He kissed Dom on the forehead.

Dom pulled away. “I know, but I really wanted a muffin.” He pouted as he emptied yet another tin of sunken muffins into the trash.
