I Should Have Been Amazed
Billy and Dom

Story Notes: I can't explain where this came from but I felt it was something that needed to be written. Also...it includes 'hammock smut' which there should be more of. ;)
Dom can hear the waves lapping against the shore, down on the beach.
All he’d really have to do is stroll through the garden, push open the back gate, and there’d be sand under his feet.
But for some reason he can’t motivate himself to do more than laze about in the hammock Mathew and Ian helped him hang between two palm trees next to his porch.
His Lost cast mates were alright. So many new people to meet and get to know. Filming in Hawaii…what a lucky sod he was.
The wind rocked him back and forth, and Dom tried to remember whether or not he’d put on sunscreen.
“Well…just bugger it.” He muttered to himself, deciding it’d be worth getting up if only to make sure the tips of his ears didn’t become sunburned.
The hammock swung wildly as he rolled over. He hit the ground hard and cursed loudly. “Way to be smarter than the furniture, Monaghan.”
He scrambled up and headed towards the door, throwing it open hastily, still annoyed at himself for falling. What he saw made his jaw drop.
Billy.
Billy was in his kitchen.
A very jet-lagged Billy…but it was still him. Suitcases strewn at his feet and a tired smile on his face as he reached up to take off his sunglasses.
“Hullo, Dom.”
Dom’s eyes widened. “Jesus, Bills, what are you playing at? Trying to give me a heart attack?” He crossed the room in three steps, wrapping Billy up in his arms and nearly sobbing with relief when Billy pressed his face into his shoulder.

The hammock, Dom decided, was much more comfortable with Billy in it. Hell, anything was more comfortable with Billy’s back pressed against him.
Dom slowly kissed his neck, tightening his arms around Billy’s waist and splaying his hands on the soft belly, possessively.
Billy let out a slow, even breath. “I can’t stay long.”
“I don’t care.”
Billy reached back to tangle his legs with Dom’s. “I didn’t realize how much I missed you until I saw you standing there in that ridiculous Hawaiian shirt.”
Dom smiled into Billy’s hair. “I’ve gone native, Bill.”
“Where’s your grass skirt?”
“In the closet.” Dom responded in all seriousness.
Billy let out a low laugh and warmth spread through Dom’s stomach that had nothing to do with the slowly setting sun.
He shifted closer to Billy, hips fitting snuggly into the small of his back.
Billy gasped. Dom’s breath was hot and moist on his ear and the hands around his waist crept lower until he could feel his belt being tugged off.
“Let me take care of you, Bills.”
Billy whimpered and thrust up, willing Dom’s skillful hands lower. Dom’s teeth nibbled his jaw and Billy nearly cried out when he felt long fingers encircle him. He gripped Dom’s forearms, clenching his jaw with the pleasure of it all.
It wasn’t long before Billy was panting. Soft ohh’s, his eyes wide and unblinking.
Dom’s hand moved slowly, languidly. Over and over again until Billy thought he’d explode.
And he did, seconds later, pumping into Dom’s fist.
“Fuck.” He breathed and Dom reveled in the sight of small teeth catching on a glistening bottom lip as Billy drew the word out.
Billy’s eyelids drooped until all Dom could see were slits of green, turning slightly golden in the fading sunlight.
Billy’s face stretched into a huge, lazy smile. “You have no shame, Dominic.”
“And that’s why you love me.” Dom said nibbling playfully at his ear.
Billy took a deep breath in through his nose. Everything smelled so good. Like rain and coconuts, and something else. Something he’d committed to memory in New Zealand. Like freshly cleaned skin and that smell that was unidentifiably Dom, raw and needy. It made his head swim.
But this wasn’t 4 years ago and they weren’t in New Zealand. They couldn’t wake up in each others arms every morning. They didn’t live in, even remotely, similar time zones and both were busy with projects and work.
Despite all this, at that moment, in a hammock, 50 yards from a beach in Hawaii, they fell asleep in each others arms, completely content.

(Not yet posted, but written ages ago, honest.)
I like your hammock scene - especially the bit about the smell of the rain and the coconuts. Very atmospheric.
