“Billy…” Dom’s voice was quiet, almost a whisper.

“Mmph.”

“You awake?”

Billy forced his eyes open and turned towards Dom. “I am now.”

“Do you think opposites attract?”

Billy frowned. “What sort of question is that for…” He peered over Dom’s shoulder at the clock on the bedside table. “…seven o’clock on a Sunday morning?”

“I was just thinking.” By the tone of his voice, Dom seemed to think this explained everything. Billy wasn’t so sure, but he wasn’t properly awake yet, so he decided to give Dom the benefit of the doubt.

“Oh.” Billy yawned and stretched his arms above his head.

“Well?” Dom asked. “Do you think opposites attract?”

“No.”

“Is that all you’re going to say? No?”

Billy frowned. “What do you want me to say? No, *Dominic*?”

“Don’t be daft, you wanker. I was hoping for a bit of explanation.”

In Billy’s opinion, this was all getting a bit much for early morning. He let out a deep sigh. But he recognised this kind of ‘Monaghan Mood’ and he knew the only way he could get Dom to go back to sleep, or at least shut up, would be to play along with whatever bizarre thought process had hijacked his brain at that precise moment. “Okay,” he said carefully. “I don’t think opposites attract because…” he paused. Why didn’t he think opposites attracted? “Oh, yes,” he continued, “because they’d always be arguing. Look at us, for example. We’re really alike.”

Dom raised an eyebrow. “We are?”

“Yeah.” Billy nodded, warming to his theme. “Both actors, both got a great sense of humour, both…” he frowned momentarily, groping for another example. “…about the same height.”

“I was thinking of character, not physical traits,” said Dom. “I don’t think we’re very alike at all.”

Billy was shocked by this. He’d always thought of them as Billy-and-Dom, Merry-and-Pippin, the two hobbits that no-one could tell apart, inseparable, indistinguishable. “Why?” He blurted out.

“You’re Scottish, I’m English… I love Man U, you don’t… you’re really musical, I can just about carry a tune… you like the Proclaimers, I think they’re the biggest pile of…”

“Yeah, I get the idea,” Billy said sharply.

“Well, I think we’re opposites,” said Dom.

“And I don’t,” said Billy firmly.

A mischievous smile spread over Dom’s face. “I’ll prove it to you.”

Billy groaned. What the hell had he let himself in for? He should have just said “No” when Dom had asked if he was awake; it had worked in the past.

Dom shuffled across the bed until he was lying on his side, head propped on his hand, looking down at Billy. “For instance, I know if I do this…” he leant over and kissed Billy just behind his ear, licking the sensitive skin until he felt a shudder run through the other man. “… it drives you wild.” He blew gently on the wet skin. Billy sucked in a sharp breath. “But it does nothing for me.”

“Er… right.” Billy was having trouble with coherent thought.

“And if I do this…” Billy felt Dom’s hand tracing leisurely circles on his chest, until he came to a nipple. He pinched it sharply between his fingers. Billy moaned. “You almost come.”

“No, I don’t,” protested Billy.

Dom lifted the sheet and appraised Billy’s body. “I beg to differ.” He pinched again. Billy’s cock twitched violently. “Little Billy begs to differ.”

“Bastard,” muttered Billy under his breath. Dragging his thoughts together under another assault on his senses from Dom, he managed to gasp, “But you like that too.”

“Not nearly as much as you.” Dom moved his hand and began working his way downwards, massaging Billy’s stomach, then down his hip and onto his thigh. His hand slid round to the inside of Billy’s thigh and his fingers stroked tantalisingly close to Billy’s straining erection. “And I can drive you mad like this,” Dom teased.

“I’ll agree on that,” Billy groaned. “I’m not a cock tease like you.”

Dom laughed and suddenly grabbed Billy’s cock. “Who’s teasing?”

Billy decided enough was enough, and, pushing Dom’s hand away, rolled on top of the other man, taking him completely by surprise. “I’m not,” said Billy quietly, before crushing his mouth to Dom’s, exploring the warm wetness with his tongue. Their naked bodies pressed together, hands exploring, hardness rubbing.

“Now, that just proves my point,” gasped Dom when they broke apart for air. “If we were alike, I’d have been expecting that.”

“Dom!” Billy stared down at his lover, exasperated. “I don’t sodding care if we’re alike or opposites. I want to fuck you. Is that okay?”

Dom grinned. “Fine with me.”
