Title: Oscar Bash
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Monaboyd, duh!
Summary: Dom’s POV at the Oscars.
Disclaimer: Would I honestly be writing if any of the boys were mine?
Did I do something? Have I said anything that has royally ticked him off? He's been acting lately that he is just too good to talk to me. Or he just is annoyed every time I even look at him, let alone touch him! I thought he was gonna snap my neck off. That glare gave it away. If it wasn't for the cameras I would have cried.
Oscars. Man that was awful. It started awful and ended miserably. The pre-parties were great. Ali was the only thing keeping me from Billy. She was like a helpless puppy just following him around everywhere. I couldn't believe it, but I was so glad when we had to get in the limo to head to the red carpet. Why? Because it meant Ali wasn't invited. I'm sure it hurt her feelings but, Christine didn't get to go either. Who wants to see the four of us hobbits divided by women? Certainly not me.
Anyway, we were all in the limo heading over, chatting about the nominees and how great it's gonna be, and everything. Lijah being so excited about all the nominations we got, Sean being his usual self and telling all us 'kids' that it didn't matter how many nominations or wins we get, just the fact that we are in such an amazing position .. and blah blah blah. Goodness he can give speeches. That man will be president one day.
Of course Lij and I gave the normal 'rolling-eyes' act and just kept laughing while he glared and kept talking. What was Bills doing? What was Billeh saying? Nothing. Not a word from the little Scot. The man was dead quiet! I couldn't believe it. The only time he had been that quiet was when I got that demon-of-a-splinter in my foot. The one that was just a small one but deadly, nonetheless. Billy made sure everyone was quiet. The only thing I could think of was the splinter. Then, Bills popped in my head, actually my hand. I kept tightening my fists and he would come over and lay his little hand over mine.
So, back to the story of the Oscars. Red carpet. The glam of it all. All four of us barged into the scene like it was a second nature. It really became one though. Elijah being the first one grabbed to talk to and the interviewers realized there were three more of us right behind the small one. Asking about the movie, the nominations, Pete .. everything. While the others took over I just stood back and grinned at the cameras, making little winks every now and then, puckering up my lips. Everything was great. Then, some lady wanted to talk to Billeh, ask him a question. Fine with me .. go right ahead. So, she did and while I studied his small face I noticed how adorable his chin was. It may sound quite crazy I know but its lovely, man. What else was I gonna do but grab it? So I just stuck my hand out there and gave a tug at it.
That's when it came crashing down. That exact moment Billeh jerked away from me and gave the look. I was literally scared for a brief moment. Did he just pull away from me? Did the Billeh I love to hang out with and can peck on the cheek with no weird feelings just brush me off? I think he did and I got so panic-y. My palms started sweating, from then on every camera flash I saw just turned into a streaming glaze of white. Nothing I heard made any since to me. So, when I got finished faking my way through the questions .. through the people stopping inside to wish us good luck, I flopped down in my chair. Comfy.
Fighting the urge not to kick the seat in front of me, I just sat. Maybe I was making something out of nothing, but what was Billy's problem? He never brushes me off .. especially on red carpets! If anything the man will hold my hand and get about a half of a centimeter from my face then decided to grin and turn back to the cameras. When the announcer told us 5 minutes till the show started, everyone sat down in their seats. Then Billy just jammed the knife in farther by sitting down about 4 million seats away. Sean was the one who sat down beside me. Smiling, he patted my leg and quickly said, 'Alright, here we go!' Pft. He's such an American.
By the way, thanks for everyone who has sent in their fic so far. Keep em coming! If those of you are still interested, I'm gonna make another round of all this word challenge stuff. I'll keep you in touch.
