A light weak voice begged against a Manchurian’s accent and for a moment there was something.

"Letting go of me would not hurt you, could not change you, would not brand you. Please. Let me go Dom."

"You're wrong. It's not that easy Bills."

"Yes it is. It was a friendship, only a friendship, you can't give me anything more, you and I are different. I want what I cannot have. It hurts. God, how it fucking aches Dom. I need you to release me.
Let me go."

"Bills."

Sad jade eyes met with a slate blue stare and for a moment there was nothing.

"Bills, it's not that simple. It's not what you think. It's not only you."

"Dommie?"

"Nothing has to end Billy, I’ll never surrender you. Something is just beginning."

Warm rosy lips pressed to cooler tear-stained ones and for a moment there was everything.
