Title: One Way Train
Author:

Rating: G
Summay: Dom writes Billy a letter on a one way train.
A/N: Haven't written in awhile. Don't think its up to par acutally but here it is none the less.
Dom writes a letter from a one way train that he doesn't think Billy will read at all. The train skips along the tracks and every bump is another smudge of ink on the paper but Dom keeps writing because when he puts his words on paper he doesn't think anything will go wrong. He believes that words aren't real until they're spoken and right now his life and his feelings are carefully weaved lines and circles that form ink smeared black letters. He only stops when the girl besides him shifts in her seat causing Dom's pen to run of the end of the paper. He takes it as a sign and reads the words that he's been writing.
He can't concentrate on the words because the sounds all around him keep distracting him. The clatter of wheels on the metal tracks, the sounds of a baby crying only a few seats away and the bass line of the song the girl besides him headphones are playing into her ear. If Dom closes his eyes and thinks really hard he can hear the song and make up the words he thinks could match. Dom's life reminds him of an unfinished songs. There's a melody that's underlining but the actual words are just scribbled on paper and aren't ready for anyone to see. He wishes his song was finished so he was ready for the world to take him into their hearts. To hear Dom's life and relate themselves to his own existence. So maybe he didn't need to feel so alone anymore. Maybe Billy would listen and understand the words Dom can never mange to say.
Dom looks out the window and feels dizzy watching the trees and hills fly past him. He feels like he's watching the world on fast forward. Things are happening way too fast for him. Between movies and moving and days spent on planes and trains. He feels like he's watching his life and can't stop to enjoy a moment. He takes his one way trains to Billy when he can and waits until the last second to buy another to go somewhere else. He feels like he needs to stop his life somewhere and find a place were he can stay. He's restless and waiting and there's always a one way trains (and planes) to Glagsglow waiting for him at stations (and airports).
He checks his watch and doesn't really need to look to know he should be arriving soon. He doesn't sign his letter because he knows he'll never send it and instead crumbles the paper in a ball and shoves it into his backpack. The train starts to slow down and he watches the landscape turn into a train station too quickly. He's out of his seat and passing everyone by because he can't wait to get off the train.
Billy's waiting in the spot he's always in. Off to the side and in the distance. Dom sees him in a hazy light that makes Billy seem like a ghost. His paces quickens and his heart races because he thinks that this could be the moment. Maybe it's time he tells Billy he only buys one way tickets to see him. It's time to let Billy read the crumbled papers and black words that are written everywhere Dom can find room.
He's standing in front of Billy before he knows it and the light attaches to Billy's eyes and they sparkle and shine and Dom smiles knows in a week he'll be back on a train. So he says the only thing he's ever really wanted to say to Billy and the only thing he ever can.
"Hi."
