a/n: I read a fic the other day that reminded me a bit of this one I'd had tucked away, and since I'm stuck in a rut on my other story at the moment, I decided to air this one out and give it a go. All of my stories (usually) end happily, but this one is going to get a tad rough in the process. A lot of it may not be very happy, but if I know myself at all, Dom and Billy's love will triumph in the end. One extra warning I suppose I should give: Billy is being, for lack of a better term, utterly prickish at the start here. He has his reasons, and they are good ones, but I thought I should probably be upfront about that before somebody takes after me with a stick. *grins* He won't remain that way forever, promise. Title and lyrics belong to Alanis Morrisette, and I think the song fits in very nicely with the things going on in this fic.
