200 word drabble
It was yesterday that you told me you loved me.
It wasn't some great confession. You didn't go down on one knee, or do anything embarrassing. You didn't get embarrassed yourself, or flustered. You just looked at me, with those intense, blue-grey eyes of yours, and said it.
"I love you, Billy."
I knew right away is wasn't just one of those things that we say. You've said many times before that you love me, in public, in private. But never like that.
That time, the level of love, and desire, in your eyes was frightening.
Because, as much as I'd like to, I wasn’t sure if I loved you.
So I looked away, and I was silent. And after a while of silence, I made some weak excuse, and got up, and walked away.
As I stood up, I caught a glimpse of you sitting there, sad and alone. The hurt in your eyes was almost too much to bear.
I wish I could have said 'I love you too', But I couldn't. That would be a lie.
My heart, and my soul, already belong to someone else.
And that someone is Dominic Monaghan. Not you, Ali.
I'm sorry.
