Title: The 60 Second Fics
Author: The Phantom Writer
silentnumbsmoke
Pairing: BB/DM
Pairing: PG-13
Feedback: Ich liebe “feedback!” :) Mein Gott, who doesn’t?
Disclaimer: This isn't real. Nope, not so much.
Notes: A few ficcies written in 60 seconds, courtesy of www.oneword.com. The title for each one is the spark word given.
There's everything here. Angst, fluff, and one short (of course) humor piece.
I've posted one other set of 60 second fics before. You can find them here, if you're interested.
Each was written in 60 seconds, so please be nice! :)
Cracked
“He’s cracked,” Elijah spoke with wide eyes, staring at his friend.
“He’ll be all right,” Orlando assured unevenly, placing an arm around Billy’s shaking shoulders.
“Will he?” Billy looked up at his friends, his teary green eyes wide with fear. “Will he be all right?” He moved his glance to the left, watching as his boyfriend lay on the hard-wood flooring, his scalp leaving a trail of blood on the otherwise-clean wood.
Dominic let out a whimper, his fingers raising to scratch frantically at his eyes. He trembled violently, hugging his knees to his chest.
“Or is this just the beginning?”
Wick
Billy gasped. “Dom, what is this?”
Sweeping out his hand, Dominic bowed at his waist, a smile at his lips. “This is a full, authentic, Italian dinner. What does it look like?”
“It…” Billy was in shock. During his stressful day, Dominic transformed their dining room. Candles were everywhere, there was a checkered tablecloth, Italian music floating from their stereo system, and Billy could get a strong whiff of pasta coming from the kitchen. Finally, he took in a deep breath, smiling. He walked over to his ‘host,’ wrapping his arm’s around Dom’s waist. “It’s beautiful.”
“I wanted everything to be perfect,” his boyfriend whispered.
Billy turned Dom in his arms so that they were touching noses. “It is perfect,” he breathed lightly, staring into Dominic’s hazy gray eyes. “You are perfect.”
Switch
I don’t know when it happened, when I stopped drooling and started needing. It had always been a feeling of want, a feeling of beauty when I watched Dominic. I don’t know when the switch happened, when it turned from lust to love. All I know is that I want to take that beautiful man into my arms and make passionate love to him all night long… and for him to be there the next morning.
I don’t know when the switch happened, but it doesn’t matter, does it? Because nothing will ever come from it.
That’s what I thought, at least, until Elijah started, with a giggle, pointing out that Dominic’s blue-gray eyes were always boring into me. I wonder if he’s made the switch yet?
North
If Dom were a bird, I suspect he would be either a dodo bird, a flamingo, or a penguin. Doesn’t seem to care what people think, but he always looks good doing it.
He wouldn’t follow the normal bird schedule, just because he’s Dom. He’d fly North for the winter, rather than South. Instead of making up his own tunes to sing, he’d whistle show tunes or maybe some Beatles tunes, such as Eleanor Rigby, or, just to be cheeky, Blackbird. Dominic wouldn’t settle with eating worms and birdseed, oh, no. Somehow, Dominic the Bird would devise a plan to sneak into an Italian restaurant, making out with lots of garlic bread.
Dominic would be the oddest bird. Of course, as he is, he’s one of the oddest people I’ve ever met, but I love him anyway.
Mislead
“I didn’t mean to, Billy…”
“You didn’t mean to? You didn’t fucking mean to? Well, that’s a laugh.”
“I didn’t mean to mislead him, I really didn’t.”
“You told Elijah that you fancied a guy, but you wouldn’t tell him who. Naturally, he began to suspect that you liked him, seeing just how bloody affectionate you are with him!”
“I wasn’t trying to lead him on or anything, Bills,” Dominic placed his head in his hands, hastily wiping his tears away. “I was just… afraid.”
“Afraid?” Billy scoffed, crossing his arms.
“Afraid. Afraid to tell him that I was in love with you.” Teary gray eyes raised to look into Billy’s before looking away in pain.
Billy’s arms fell, and he blinked, staring at his best friend. “…oh.”
