When they had won the award he had only pecked her on the cheek. It wasn’t anything personal but he couldn’t bring himself to do anything else. Plus that wasn’t part of the deal.

As usual they left the party pretty early and his limo dropped her off at a different hotel away from the press.

‘Well thanks again. Not the ideal situation but I do appreciate what you’re doing for us.’

Ali smiled at Billy. ‘Hey it’s no problem. I get a fancy night out. And just think after the Oscars it’ll be over. You can tell the world.’

Billy beamed. ‘I can’t wait. Although there’ll be no more fancy nights out for you.’

She laughed. ‘Oh well, maybe I can come along with both of you. Start rumours of a threesome.’

He smiled, but then his face turned serious. ‘Really though, thank you. We both appreciate it more than we can ever express.’

She smiled. ‘It’s cool honestly. I have fun. So, where is he tonight?’

‘He’s doing Mardi Gras. I can’t wait to see his costume.’

Her eyebrows rose. ‘Oh that’ll start a new kink.’ She gave a chuckle. ‘Anyway I should be going. See ya later.’ She kissed him on the cheek and he smiled at her again. ‘Bye.’

Just then his phone rang. He pulled it from his sporran. He looked at the screen. He smiled and pressed the answer button.

‘Hey baby. How’s Mardi Gras?’ He paused listening, laughing along with the person on the other end of the phone. Suddenly his face softened.

‘I miss you too. I’ll see you tomorrow.’ He listens. ‘Bye. Love you too Dom.’ He hangs up smiling.
