Title: Winning Over Billy 2/?
Author: Robin Gurl
Part: 2
Pairing: BB/DM (I guess in this case it's more of DM/BB)
Rating: PG-13 (NC-17 by end)
Beta: Glamoursnipe (we worked very hard this time! :D)
Overall Summary: Dom's never had any problems winning over the opposite sex (or anyone really), but it looks like he met his match with Billy Boyd.
Chapter Summary: On the way to the hotel, Dom tries to not be seen as he stares at Billy. Billy is reading, Elijah is acting nervous and to make it all more insane Dom thinks he's figured out Billy's home life.
Notes: Wow, I didn't expect this story to get the feedback it did! I feel honored that my characterizations of the boys are realistic because it's something I've been working hard on. I think at least one more chapter of Dom's POV then I may try a Billy POV. ^_^ TY again!!
Feedback: About content, yes. If it's grammar please email me at robingurl@gmail.com.
The ride up there was anything but boring, I had made sure we sat beside each other when we piled in the van. As soon as the van had started Billy had pulled out a paperback and had started reading. At first I thought it was a bit boring of him to do so until I heard we had 45 minutes until we reached the actual hotel, then I felt jealous that he had something to do. On the other side of me was Elijah, he was fidgeting. It was driving me insane. I placed a hand on the kid's knee to stop the shaking then looked to my other side; my thigh was touching Billy's.
Elijah stopped bouncing his leg and muttered an apologetic, "Sorry." But I didn't notice anymore. I was more occupied in wondering if Billy was feeling the same fireworks I was. I then decided maybe it was just safer to ignore the feelings for now. After all, when a man is sex deprived strange things happen.
Very strange things.
I shook my head to clear up the thoughts that were trying to work their way into my brain and made myself turn my attention to Elijah. Just my luck, the kid had fallen asleep. I just stared wide-eyed, trying to figure out at what point did Elijah doze off? I had only been staring at my thigh touching Billy for a minute.
"Good, the lad is asleep." I heard Billy murmur, not taking his eyes off his book. "Guess you get to relax now."
"I guess so.." I responded carefully. Had he seen me checking out our contact? If he did, what was he thinking?
"Stop looking so nervous," I heard him say. This time he put the book down in his lap and glanced at me. I'd never blushed this red in front of man before in my life. "You were chosen for this part. I think Mr. Jackson knows what he's doing."
He thought it was about my part? I felt light-headed and then laughed softly. If only he knew what was running through my brain right now. "No, I'm not too nervous about that."
"Then what?"
What lame lie could I come up with that he would buy? He didn't look like the type that fell for crap so easily. "I…well. I miss home. I miss my parents and friends." I watched as his eyes softened from jesting to caring but didn't say anything to me. "Don't you miss home?"
I felt him stiffen against me then pick up his book again. Did I say something wrong? He didn't look like the rebel type who left home without saying goodbye to his parents. I didn't know I had stared for a good solid minute until he shifted uneasily and gave me a look that I didn't know how to take. His green eyes had darkened and he looked sad and upset, but then something was fighting inside him to hide it. What was happening I didn't know, but I could feel that he didn't want a verbal apology so I nervously reached up and grabbed one of his hands. He looked at me surprised when I squeezed it and held it in mine, not letting go. He didn't pull away but turned back to his paperback and was silent the rest of the ride.

Seeing the hotel appear in the window beside Elijah woke me out of my daze. Billy had dozed off earlier, his head on my shoulder, and I hadn't bothered to wake him. Typically I did not like being laid on. I wasn't a pillow. I didn't even like it when girls laid on me. It was just the feeling of the personal bubble was gone. This time, however, I didn't budge. I wasn't fighting my mind, telling myself to be polite and not wake him; this time I was hoping he wouldn't awaken for awhile longer. Then my heart skipped a beat- he was still holding my hand.
What was I going to say if Elijah woke up and saw us like this? I felt like a mother who was afraid of her child catching his parents having sex. What was I afraid of though? No one but me knew about my body doing strange things and making me feel weird around him. I didn't have the heart to let go of his hand.. The grip was so tight it was like he was trying to hang on and not be sucked into whatever nightmare his home life was like.
That's when it hit me: was he one of those abused kids? The ones you hear about on the tele but never actually see. My heart dropped to my feet and stayed there as I continued to watch him sleep.
"Dominic, what's wrong? You look like you've seen a ghost."
Elijah's voice startled me out of my thoughts and I gave him a weak smile. I did not need to tell him anything until I was sure. "Call me Dom, Eljiah. Dominic is to formal and I'm fine." Then I fought to change the subject. "So who are you rooming with?"
"Some guy named Sean Astin. I've heard about him before but never met him. I hope he's nice. I heard he was flying up late because his wife wanted him to stay at home for a few days to take care of their daughter."
I tried really hard to pay attention to what Elijah was saying but my stomach was churning over what my brain had conjured up on its own. I was too caught up to remind myself that I hadn't even confirmed anything yet.
"Yes! We're here!" The van had barely stopped before Elijah jumped out.
I stayed seated for a few seconds rolling my eyes at how energetic this kid was, then remembered Billy was still fast asleep on my shoulder. "Hey, sleeping beauty," I started. "Wake up."
"Hn? Feck off."
"If I did that you'd give yourself a concussion when your head hit the seats. Not a good idea," I retorted back.
His eyes opened and I noticed they were back to their usual bright green. He looked kind of cute half asleep. Wait, cute? This Billy bloke had me using words such as CUTE? This was quickly turning into being a bit uncool. "We're here," I stated dumbly.
"I can see that." Then I felt him lean towards me again. "I never pinned you to be scared of riding in a car." I glanced at him, confused and he nodded to our hands that were still together. "It's alright," he said, giving me a playful grin. "I won't let it hurt you."
I quickly let go and blushed a deep red. Before I got out, though he whispered, "Thank you." in my ear before climbing over me and getting out, leaving me alone in the back seat.
"You're welcome." I replied to the air. I watched him enter the hotel with Elijah on his heels.
