Chapter 4 - in which Charlie begins his duties under the new agreement and learns that McManus has good taste in beer. Rated NC-17/R for sexual activity. For summary, disclaimers and warnings, see Chapter 1
holy crap, how have i missed this series??? i just happily plowed through all four chapters. i bought a copy of "Urban Ghost Story" after seeing so many stories on the Loan Shark, and woof! even if it's just a small part, dayum is he hot. there's something to that sensual breathy quality he has that makes you think of sex and menace all at the same time. your shark is definitely not an emo kid, but rather exciting in a slightly nasty way. wonderful!
from Chapter 3
Their eyes met, and Charlie could feel the hunger that the Shark was trying so hard to conceal. He felt as if he was falling into the ocean - a green ocean, an arctic ocean, cold and bitter and dangerous - and it was exhilarating.
fabulous description.
chapter 4 you know, when Rory has Charlie join him in the bathroom, for one heart stopping moment i was afraid the blond guy he'd been sitting with earlier was going to be in there. I thought maybe Rory was going to sell Charlie off to make up the money. so even if the scenario was degrading for Charlie, it could have been worse. I'm glad the Shark doesn't like to share his toys. how long before he wants Charlie with him at all times?
this is a wonderful change from pairing i normally read, but i'm really enjoying the character portrayals here. (i totally go with the flow as far as canon on Charlie goes, and i'm a diehard LOST fan) i can't wait for the next installment.
I thought I'd replied to this comment earlier, but maybe I didn't. Sorry about that.
Thanks for the kind words - I'm really glad that people are enjoying the series. Don't worry about Rory forcing Charlie to do things with other people though - he's far too possessive, which is something that's going to come back and bite him in the future.
