Viggo showered and pondered the plans of his hobbits as he did. Dressing in a pair of old cut off denim jeans and a multi coloured tie died tee shirt, he lifted the cordless phone from its cradle in the kitchen and padded barefoot around the outside of the house. Stepping soundlessly into the lanai he looked into the master bedroom. The sight of the two men on the bed would normally have taken his breath away. Two lithe bodies wrapped so tightly around each other they seemed to be trying to merge, one lithe and golden tanned, the other smaller but no less muscular and milky white, it was heartbreaking to see their subconscious attempts to be as close to each other as they could.
Stepping back out past the lanai he walked to the edge of the sand and sank down to sit in the warm white sand there before sighing deeply and dialling a familiar number.
“Sir Ian.” He spoke as the call connected. “We’ve got a little hobbit problem that I’d love your help with.” He explained quickly.
"Viggo, my good man," Ian McKellan bit the naked shoulder of the young man resting beside him in the large bed, rolling off it with a wink.
He could feel the hungry gaze of Jonathan...or Sebastian on him, he could never tell which twin was which, and smiled smugly to himself. Even at his advanced age, he was in great shape physically and was never short of partners willing to warm his bed.
Slipping into the deep red housecoat, he blew a kiss at his lover, and slipped out of the room. "Now tell me, what is it that the young trouble-makers have done this time? And please don't tell me that it involves a pregnant young lady, I'm not ready to be a grandfather."
"Great-grandfather," Viggo reminded him swirling patterns in the sand with one finger. "No, no pregnant girl in-sight, thankfully. I do fear it's worse. Two words: Billy. Dom."
Ian continued towards his study, a small frown forming on his face. "How is our Merry doing after his accident? Dear Orlando called me, but I must admit that I can't understand half the things that boy says."
"He's getting better. He suffered a mild case of amnesia, and when he woke up in the hospital the only thing he was certain of was his relationship with his boyfriend Billy."
Viggo could hear Ian's mouth drop into a small "o" and continued.
“Billy went along, because we all know how Billy feels about Dom, and there’s no mistaking the way Dom feels about Billy. Dom has slowly been showing signs of recovery, but now there’s a catch.”
“Has he hurt young Peregrin?” Ian’s voice sounded harsh to Viggo’s ears.
“Not yet but I fear he will.” Viggo explained. “Young Dom has regained his memory and is yet to inform his lover.”
“They have already consummated their sham relationship then?” Ian asked.
“Trust me, heartily and frequently.” Viggo laughed “They’re worse than rabbits.”
“How can I help?” Ian asked.
"The two have decided that a trip to Scotland would be the best course of action at the moment," Viggo said with a deep sigh.
"They're running away," Ian stated plainly, pouring himself a small glass of whiskey. He stretched out on the brown leather couch, the sides of his housecoat falling open revealing his naked body.
"They are both worried that I will tell the other the truth, and frankly Ian, at this point, they should be. They are both so stubborn, and I'd knock their heads together if they weren't already glued to each other."
"I'm guessing that you wish me to keep an eye on our star-crossed lovers," Ian said, turning his head to see the door to the study open slightly. Bright brown eyes looked at him, and he crooked his finger indicating for the young man to come in.
“If it’s not too much bother.” Viggo replied “They are so very much in love; it’s almost painful to watch. But if we leave them to sort it out for them stubborn selves it will be another six years before they get it together.” Viggo lay back in the sand. “Billy is convinced Dom is going to hate him for lying to him. And Dom is convinced that as soon as he tells Billy he remembers that Billy is going to turn tail because Dom forced him into sleeping with him.”
“Did he coerce him at all?” Ian asked with a frown.
“Trust me. There is absolutely no force involved here. They can barely keep their hands off each other.”
Ian hummed as his companion knelt on the floor beside him, resting his head on Ian's chest. "I can understand how difficult it is to keep your hands off the man you've desired for so long," he said while his fingers tangled in brown locks. The young man smiled and brushed his soft lips over Ian's skin.
"Yes, well. They are more than making up for lost time," stated Viggo remembering the screams that accompanied his shower. "If they spent only half the amount of time they do copulating on having an actual conversation, everything would be fine."
"It's often easier to think with the prostate, Viggo," Ian teased as a warm body crawled up beside him, "than the head. And I mean the one on the shoulders."
“I know Ian,” Viggo sighed “I know.” He squinted up at the palm leaves above him as he spoke. “Dom will survive this well enough. But Billy, our Pippin is walking a fine line, he’s strung piano wire taut and it won’t take much to snap him. Dom doesn’t or won’t understand, you know him, he naively thinks that if he keeps up the charade for long enough that will be proof enough for disbelievers. Either that or he’s storing memories for when they’re convinced they won’t be talking to each other because of this fiasco.”
“Do you think there is any chance of that?” Ian frowned
“Ordinarily I’d say no, however, you know how stubborn they are. Billy is convinced that Dom will be mortified and won’t speak to him anymore. You know him; he’ll practically will that into happening.”
"Oh my dear boy," Ian muttered as he was straddled by the young brunette. The young man smiled teasingly pulling his lower lip between his teeth, while he began to unbutton his shirt. "I sometimes wish that I had said something back in New Zealand. I always as assumed that they would tell each other how they felt."
"I think we all thought that, Ian. It's amazing to me how they could have thought the other wanted only friendship with all the sexual tension passing between them."
Ian watched as the young man above him his shrugged off his pressed white shirt exposing a tanned and hairless chest. He ran is hand up the muscular abdomen, pinching a round, dark nipple. The young man inhaled sharply causing Ian to grin. "Well, I will definitely keep my eyes on them. It's been a while since I've visited Scotland, I may just drop in for a visit."
Viggo heard a noise coming from the other end of the phone and rolled his eyes; only Sir Ian would be engaging in a telephone conversation and be doing something to a gentleman, no doubt half his age. "You are a good man, Ian. Thank you. Now if I could get someone to keep an eye on my elf and Ringbearer, I'd be good."
“Perhaps you should contact the Steward’s youngest son, I’m sure he has a few ideas for controlling the elf. However, my dear King, I’ll leave the Ringbearer in your capable hands.”
“Steward’s son is already here and has that situation well in hand my old friend. The Ringbearer however, is another quandary that I shall need to ponder further.”
“Don’t ponder too much; you never know what slips through your fingers when you deliberate too long.” Ian spoke cryptically as his companion leaned down to close his lips around one hard nipple, a sharp gasp passing his lips.
“Thank you Ian.” Viggo nodded. “Sorry I interrupted, I’ll let you get back to….” His voice trailed off not exactly sure how to phrase his intentions.
"My daily exercise, my good man." Ian's laugh turned into a soft moan as his companion's wet tongue rolled twirled around his nipple. "Let me know when they are planning on arriving, and I'll keep a very watchful eye over them."
Viggo rolled his eyes. Coming-out was probably the best thing that could have happened to Sir Ian's career and libido. "Daily exercise? Why do I think you've exercised quite a few times today? I'll give you a call later on this week. Good day." Viggo listened as for the phone to click, a "you naughty, naughty boy" being heard just before Ian hung up.
He stretched out in the sand, eyes closing, arms folded behind his head. His cat nap was interrupted by a shadow blocking his sunlight.
"Ringbearer," he guessed without opening his eyes. "Have you made your calls?"
Elijah sighed, flopping down besides Viggo. "I tried, but it's quite difficult to make a phone call when people are screaming like banshees. God, don't they ever get tired?"
“They’re desperately in love and trying to cling to what they think they know.” Viggo spoke softly. “Don’t deny them what little happiness they can have control of after all this time.”
“I’m not.” Elijah murmured “I’d just like them to lower the volume or the frequency, I’m not sure which.”
“They’re sleeping now.” Viggo smiled handing Elijah the phone. “You should call Dom’s little on screen girlfriend, what is her name?”
“Claire?” Elijah frowned “That’s Emilie, she is cute.” He smiled wistfully.
“Then call her.” Viggo spoke his King’s voice evident as he rose to his feet. “I have plans to make.” He ruffled Elijah’s hair and walked into the house.
Elijah fingered the cell phone in his pocket, before pulling it out along with a scrap piece of paper. He squinted his eyes unable to decipher Dom's illegible scribbling and wishing he had brought his glasses out with him.
Guessing at the last two digits, he dialled the number, and taps a random beat on his knee. He counted the rings, not knowing whether or not to hang up or wait for the answer machine. Before he can hang up, the machine picked up and Emilie's soft accent can be heard telling him that she is sorry she missed his call, and please leave a message. He closed his eyes as she spoke, enjoying the way certain words sounded with her accent.
"Um, hi Emilie, this is Elijah. Elijah Wood, I'm a friend of Dom. Your co-star Dom from Lost. Um, yeah," he rambled at the sound of the beat. He groaned internally wondering why he was suddenly so nervous. "We're having a barbeque for Dom because of his accident, well because he's getting better after his accident. Anyways, you're all invited and I was hoping you'd help me contact the rest of the cast." He rattled off his number.
He hung up the phone quickly dropping his head in his hands. "Loser," he mentally cursed himself. He hesitated before getting up to go inside, and decided against it in case Dom and Billy were going for round three. Rolling up the legs on his faded jeans he lay back in the sand, jumping when his phone vibrated on his chest.
"Hello?"
"Hello, Elijah? Hi, it's Emilie”
“Emilie, thanks for calling me back.” He spoke quickly. “I know it’s short notice but we’re having a BBQ for Dom, tomorrow night, we were hoping that some of his lost cast might be able to come over.”
“I’m sure most of us would love to.” She smiled into the phone, “We all miss him, how is he doing?”
“He’s a lot better, his memory is slowing returning, at least now he knows he’s Dom not Charlie which is a good start. We’re hoping that is a good sign.” Elijah babbled.
“Who’s we?” she asked; he could hear the frown in her voice.
“Well you know Billy don’t you? Then there’s me, Orli, Viggo and Daisy.”
“You have half your fellowship in Dom’s house?” she squeaked.
“Just three hobbits, an elf, a king and a steward’s son.” He smiled into the phone completely relaxed with her.
“You guys really are nuts.” She giggled her laughter tinkling like bells. “I’ll see what I can do, I’m not needed on set tomorrow so if it’s okay with you I’d like to come over and help out.”
Elijah played with the loose threads on his jeans saying happily, "Really? That would be great, actually. I've officially been designated the slave, and am getting stuck with all the work."
"Really? You poor thing." He could hear her giggle in the background and it made him smile wider. "Where are the others?"
"Well, our King can't do anything, because well, he's the king. Dom and Billy. They're...doing stuff."
"Doing stuff?" interrupted Emilie with a laugh. "That sounds awfully fun, aren't you sure you don't want to join them?"
"No! Anyways, they've made it clear that no one else is welcome."
"You poor thing," she teased. "What about the other two?"
"Orli and Daisy are off somewhere making googly eyes at each other. So you see, if this barbeque is going to happen, it's up to me."
"And me!" Emilie reminded him.
And you.” He smiled softly.
“This is nice.” Emilie spoke softly, “You’re nothing like I expected.”
He frowned “What did you expect?”
“I don’t know, you’re a hugely successful Hollywood star, you should be I don’t know different. Hell, you’re Frodo.” She whispered “My personal favourite Hobbit, that alone makes you special.”
“I’m just Lij, Emilie.” He grinned into the phone at the fact that he was her favourite hobbit.
“Well I think you’re pretty special, just Lij.” She murmured.
“There’s something I think you should know before you get here tomorrow and have visions imprinted on your retinas that you weren’t expecting.” He explained.
“When Dom woke up he kinda had the impression that he and Billy were a couple.”
“Finally….” She giggled “Those two have been dancing around each other since they we wee hobbits.” She sighed happily “So it’s full steam ahead?”
“Pretty much.” Lij nodded as he spoke.
“Then I’ll see you in the morning? Bright and Early, I’ll pick you up and we’ll go do the shopping? Maybe have a coffee while we’re out?” she chattered on happily.
"I'd love tha...," Elijah tripped over his tongue. Although he watched "Lost" to support Dom, he had found himself beginning to watch it for another reason each week. While most of the guys he knew gushed about Evey or Maggie, he had always had a soft spot for Emilie and her character, Claire. The truth was, that what some people found cute in her, he found incredibly sexy. Hoping that he hadn't scared her with his slip, he back-pedalled: "I mean, I'd like that a lot."
She laughed, a sweet melodic tune that Elijah knew could become addictive after a while. "Great, then I'll see you tomorrow. Listen, sweetie, I have to go and cry over my baby or something dramatic like that, but I'll call you in the morning alright?"
"Okay, I'll see you tomorrow. Bye."
"Love ya, Liji. Bye."
Elijah pulled the phone slowly away from his ears, looking at it strangely. Had she just said that she loved him?
He was still laying on the sand going over the conversation over and over in his head when he felt the sun blocked and opened his eyes to find Orlando and David sitting beside him on the sand.
“The king sent us out to remind you to call Dom’s cast mates.” Orli shrugged in explanation.
“Already done, Emilie and I are sorting out the details tomorrow.”
“Which one’s she?” Orlando frowned.
“She’s the little one, the one with the baby. Charlie’s peanut butter princess.” David tried to explain.
“Ahhh.” Orli finally caught on. “The cute one. You could have at least had the eye candy over Lij.” He shrugged.
“Emilie is gorgeous, more gorgeous I think than the other two.”
“And she’s an Aussie.” David nodded then shrugged “well that’s got to be a point in her favour right.” He grinned goofily.
“And she’s hot for Frodo.” Dom’s voice spoke from behind them.
"He's alive," Elijah laughed, shifting over to let Dominic have a seat. He tussled his friend's hair affectionately, happy to see him looking like his old self.
"Dom, have you lost weight?" Orlando asked concerned.
"I don't think so. Why?"
Orlando waved his hand in Dom's direction, looking extremely serious in his thoughts.
"Doesn't it seem as if Dom's lost weight, David? I mean, he looks so thin now."
"That's not weight he's lost, Orli," David teased. "It's a hobbit he's missing. He only seems smaller because Mr. Boyd isn't attached at his hip."
"Well I'll be!" Orlando exclaimed, bringing his hand to his opened mouth dramatically. "I do think you are correct, David. Mr. Monaghan, how does it feel to lose an entire hobbit and are you going to sell this miraculous weight-loss system on Ebay?"
Elijah snorted and Orlando squealed as Dom reached over trying to punch is arm. He hid behind David's back, sticking out his tongue at the Mancurian who was muttering about prissy elves.
"Hardy har har. Wow, I never knew that Peter had hired a bunch of comedians," Dom said sarcastically. "Anyways, if I recall, we were about to start teasing Elijah about his crush."
Elijah knew he would regret it but he had to do it “What crush?”
“His crush on that wee Aussie that Charlie loves so much.” Billy’s voice intoned as he sat down on the sand beside his Dom resting his head against Dom’s shoulder.
“I do not,” Elijah spluttered.
“Pity.” Dom shrugged. “She’s pretty much got a life sized crush on the Ringbearer.” He replied.
“How is that possible?” Billy frowned, his Pippin face firmly on. “Did she not see Pippin? Or Merry?” he asked.
“Forget about hobbits, what about an Elven prince?” Orli added.
“Maybe she just knows who the important one is.” Elijah tilted his nose in the air.
“Maybe she’s just a sucker for blue eyes.” Dom spoke seriously.
“Seriously?” Elijah turned his face toward Dom who nodded sagely.
Elijah stood and brushed the sand off himself before muttering something and walking into the house.
“You hobbits are strange creatures.” David watched him walk away his head shaking.
"Aye, there's nothing strange about we Hobbits," Billy sat up looking at David curiously, his head cocked to the side, and his Pippin accent stronger than usual. He turned his head to bat his eyelashes at Dom. "I don't think you're strange, Merry. Am I strange?"
"Oh no, Pip! You're not strange. I think you're perfect." Dom sported his Merry voice and proceeded to sigh dreamily.
"No, you're perfect."
"No, you're perfect."
"Aye, we're both perfect."
"You're both crazy," David laughed, swatting in their general direction.
"Says the man who's canoodling with a prissy Elf!" Billy exclaimed, waving his finger in Orlando's general direction.
"That's because he can't canoodle with you, my Pip," Dom stated pointedly, rubbing Billy's soft cheek.
"I love you, Merry," said Billy, tilting his chin up and pursing his lips for a kiss.
"And I love you, my wonderful, perfect Pippin." Dom pursed his lips as well, leaning forward slowly until the two mouths met. An "ahhhh" was heard shortly after followed by a loud snorting sound.
"You two are certifiably insane," David laughed.
“No, No they’re not.” Orlando leaned back against David’s chest laughing “They’re hobbits.”
“Aye indeed we are Elf Princess.” Billy smirked and leapt to his feet darting back towards the house laughing hysterically as Orlando gave chase.

I really loved your Ian he was great and I wonder what we'll see of him in the future. And Elijah and Emilie? I really liked their phone call and cant wait to see what happens with them.
Will Dom ever tell Billy???!
Cant wait for the next part!

Anyway, OMG They're pissing me off! WTF! Tell him already!!!! I don't know who I'm talking to when I say that!
Even If I didn't already know, it would be hopelessly obvious that Dom has his memory back, remembering about Lost and LOTR! How can Billy not realize???
I loved the Emilie/Elijah bit, that was funny.

“Sir Ian.” He spoke as the call connected. “We’ve got a little hobbit problem that I’d love your help with.” He explained quickly.
omg. how much do i love that the King has someone he can turn to?? soooo much!
it sounds like elijah might be done experimenting with guys, and is ready to move on to Emilie. was her "Love ya, Liji. Bye." sort of how some people say, "thanks love" or "See ya, love"...?
(and only because i'm a "LOST' freak, i'm trying to get something set in my mind, timeline wise. you guys mentioned Maggie (she played Shannon for those that might not know) ::i don't want to give away anything about her character to people watching from different countries that might not be up to speed:: and now you've had Emilie talk about filming scenes with her crying over her baby (not pregnancy). how will Dom and Billy just be able to toddle off to Scotland? and what's this??! a chapter with no sex!!? how on earth did this get through?? :giggle: :snerk:
excellent as always!

Loved this chapter, because the subtle angst was pushed down by the lightness of their banter and teasing... They need that, because harder and darker times are about to come :(

Ian is perfect isn't he?
My favourite part of the whole fic is Lij and Emilie, wait until you really meet her. She's adorable.
The big question is exactly how will Bily find out.
From:

They really do need to have mutual confession don't they, but you just know they won't.
Billy's blindly clinging to Dommie the lover, he's not thinking about anything else I don't think.
Lij and Emilie are sugar shock cute aren't they?

We hadn't really timelined it, but we did write it during the hiatus between 1st and 2nd season.

Viggo wouldn't let them go without having a contingency plan. But maybe Ian will see things differently to Viggo.
Lij and Emilie are adorable and will probably amuse you in a chapter or two.

I don't think it's so much about confessions as it is about revelations.
