Summary: Dom has made a decision

I wasn’t going to do a sequel, but I had a number of request so…. I don't do much fluff, so I hope this is enjoyable to those who read it.

“Billy.” That was all Dom had to say.

Billy had picked up his phone on the second ring. He heard the familiar English accent. He knew what it meant. He smiled to himself and said, “Good. I’ll be waiting.”

Dom ran for the gate before the flight attendant closed the plane door. He apologized to her and took his seat. First class, of course. Billy would spoil Dom any chance he could. Dom settled into his oversized seat and stretched. He was going to do this. He loved Billy, and by God he didn’t care who knew.

As the plane taxied down the runway he looked across the aisle from him and saw a very attractive young woman smiling at him. He smiled back, not so much at her but in the knowledge that he didn’t feel the need to make a show of flirting with a woman. He sat back in the comfort of knowing who he was. He was a man in love with another man. A wonderful, caring and patient man.

Once the plane took off Dom unfastened his seat belt and was retrieving his portable CD player from his carry on. The young woman stood and walked towards Dom. She smiled and bent down in front of him seductively showing enough of her cleavage that Dom could almost see her naval. He smiled.

“Excuse me Mr. Monaghan, my I have your autograph?” She handed him a pen and piece of paper.

“Sure,” he took the pen and paper and thought of what to write. He smiled as he wrote:

Thank you for reminding me of my purpose here. Dominic Monaghan

The young woman smiled as she read what he had written. She put on her best bedroom eyes as she asked, “Perhaps I should sit here with you then?”

Dom smiled but declined, as he told her, “No, thank you I need to get some rest. I’m flying to Scotland to be with my boyfriend.”

She was taken back by this. She stood up straight, smiled but not knowing what to say she turned and went back to her seat. Dom laughed to himself. That felt really good!

Later when the flight attendant came by offering drinks, he inquired, “Do you have any Scotch? That’s my boyfriend’s favorite. I’m going to see him you know.”

The attendant smiled and said, “How wonderful for you. Yes, I do have scotch. Would you like that over ice?”

Dom smiled and agreed. She was quite nice about it. This wasn’t so hard. Dom looked about. Who else could he tell? He felt so light hearted and happy. This must be how Billy felt. What a wonderful sensation!

Billy was nervous. He had given Dom an ultimatum, which he morally felt wrong about, but Dom was now on his way. Billy prayed it would be forever. He prayed Dom wouldn’t make them hide their love like before, he prayed Dom was sincere with this move.

So far Dom had told all the passengers in first class, all the flight attendants, some guy coming out of the bathroom and a little old lady who sat in the front row of coach. She smiled and patted his hand as she said, “That’s nice Sweetie. Everyone needs somebody.”

Dom was beside himself. How could he have been so stupid for so long? Sure there were going to people who were close minded and may view him as different. But, damn it, he was different. He was in love with a wonderful man. A man who loved him in return. There were many people in this world that would go through life never experiencing this kind of love. He was one of the lucky ones. So, yes, he was different.

Billy paced the floors. He had three hours before picking Dom up from the airport. He had cleaned his entire home, twice, and rearranged the clothes in his closet, three times, to make room for Dom’s things. He knew Dom was not be bringing everything right now, but he wanted to make the gesture.

Billy had phoned his sister and told her the good news. She of course knew about Dom from the beginning. Billy held no secrets with his sister. She was happy for him, although concerned.

Elijah has phoned as well as Orlando. Both had congratulated Billy and wished him and Dom the best. This had encouraged Billy knowing Dom had confided in their friends that he moving back to Billy’s. Of course most of the cast had known about Dom and Billy, it was the rest of the world that Dom had hid it from.

A few weeks after Dom moved to California, Elijah had called Billy to let him know what was going on with Dom. Nothing. No job offers, no real happiness. Billy felt for Dom, but Dom had not returned any of his calls and he felt Dom would call him when he was ready.

~

One night Dom had confided in Orlando how much he missed Billy. Orlando had convinced him he needed to talk to Billy. Dom agreed and had allowed Orlando to dial Billy’s number. However, when Orlando began to talk to Billy, Dom took off. He wasn’t ready to admit defeat. He wasn’t ready to admit to the world he belonged with Billy. He assumed Orlando had told Billy about Dom’s feelings since the next day Billy called Dom about the ticket.

Dom’s phone rang that day, but Dom always screened his calls. He heard the familiar soothing voice and sat by the phone listening to Billy. “Dom, if you’re there please pick up. I spoke with Orlando yesterday. Dom, please pick up. He said you weren’t happy.” Dom cursed Orlando. “Dom, I want you back.”

At that Dom picked up. “Billy, I’m here.”

Billy sighed, “Dom, please come home. I know all the reasons for you to stay, but I don’t believe any of them. No, don’t speak, Dommie, just listen. I love you and I want to be with you. I will do whatever it takes to make you happy. You can have a career here. You would love theater and you would be wonderful. I have bought you a ticket home. Go to the Delta terminal tomorrow. The flight leaves at noon. There will be a ticket at the gate for you. If you love me, you’ll come.”

Dom didn’t know what to say, so he said nothing. Billy waited, but then hung up.

As the plane touched down in Glasgow, Dom was floating on cloud nine. He couldn’t wait to get his arms around Billy. He couldn’t wait to see the look on Billy’s face when he kissed passionately in public. Dom WANTED the world to see. He wanted to scream that he loved Billy.

Billy stood at the arriving gate wringing his hands. He had made up his mind he would give Dom a friendly hug and smile, but he would squelch the overwhelming urge to wrap him in a lover’s embrace until they were alone. He would respect Dom’s feelings and wishes. He had pushed Dom enough by giving him the ticket; he would not push him into a public show of affection also!

As the passengers began to unload, Billy began to shuffle in his stance. He felt like a little kid waiting in line to see Santa Clause. Suddenly, there he was. The hair was the same, the clothes and even the amount of scruff on his beautiful face. But there was definitely something different in his gaze as he looked at Billy. As Dom walked closer to Billy, he smiled wildly and dropped his carry on bag. He closed the distance between him and Billy in a bolt. He wrapped his arms around Billy and kissed him squarely on the lips. Billy was shocked he just stood there for a moment.

Dom pulled back and looked into Billy’s eyes, “Aren’t you glad to see me, Bills?”

Billy shook his head; “Of course I am Dommie! I just wasn’t expecting this, well this kind of greeting!”

Dom laughed and held Billy tight. Billy wrapped his arms around Dom and noticed passengers standing around watching them and smiling. Billy pulled back and turned his head to look at the spectators.

Dom laughed as he said, “Sorry bout that my man, I told a few people about us!”

Billy’s eyes grew large. Dom WAS serious about this. He heart felt like soaring.

Just then the little old lady from coach approached Billy, “You must be the boyfriend.” Billy smiled and nodded his head. “Such a sweet young man you have here. Handsome too! Keep your eye on this one Dearie. He’s quite the catch. You two are lucky to have found each other.”

Billy had to agree. He pulled Dom in close and kissed him gently. As the elderly woman walked away, she patted Billy on the arm. He heard her say, “Love like this is a gift. Cherish it young man.”

Billy and Dom smiled at each other. Billy exclaimed, “It does feel a bit like Christmas!”

Dom’s eyes twinkled as he replied, “Ho, ho, ho!!”
