Author's note: Was feeling so sad and I have had this image burned to my mind for almost a year and I felt I needed to write it out finally.



The sun was setting. The light breeze coming from the balcony door swayed the long white curtains. Billy sat on the bed, holding a small velvety box in his hands. It was open, and a golden ring sat in it. A single tear rolled down his face as he took out the ring and lifted it to the fading sunlight. “Billy and Dominic” was engraved inside. Another tear rolled down his face, as he placed the ring back. He closed the box and placed it to a box filled with pictures of Dominic. “Goodbye love, rest in peace” he whispered.
